I don't know, I actually enjoyed this episode a lot. This season started off pretty badly but it's getting better and better. Once you adjust your mindset that sometimes people "forget" to use abilities and there are some plot holes, it's pretty enjoyable. I mean come on, Matt can't be reading people's minds 24/7, and people like Peter and Arthur have so many abilities now they probably can't keep track. Also, apparently Hiro doesn't want to go back in time anymore because he's afraid of what changes could take place. It's the writers' way of nerfing his ability and it's plausible, so stop bitching about "why doesn't Hiro just go back in time and fix this."
The big positives of this season are: awesome villain, nerfing Hiro (kinda) and nerfing Peter, good Sylar, and the show is still pretty unpredictable at times with wacky plot. I mean come on, Daddy Parkman bites the dust who saw that one coming.
The big negatives seem to be: character development has kinda gone to hell, which kinda sucks but not a dealbreaker for me, besides it's kinda interesting (like good Sylar), and the ordinary lives of these people seem to have vanished, which makes Peter and Clair more unlikable now.
The plot so far though is definitely better than I expected after the first few episodes. Big Boss claims he doesn't want to give people abilities, so what's up? Is he lying or is someone else behind this? What is Sylar going to do? How will Peter regain some powers? What's wrong with the Pinehurst formula? It keeps me curious which is what made Season 1 so great. And let's not pretend season 1 wasn't full of plot holes either.
Some "plot holes" I observed:
Why did Arthur kill Daddy Parkman? If he didn't intend on killing Matt why did he tell Daddy Parkman he would and then kill him for objecting? (maybe he just wanted him out of the picture)
Why didn't Matt discover Daphne's intentions with his ability? (probably trusts her too much and he doesn't use his ability 24/7)
Why doesn't Arthur read Sylar's mind to find out he helped Peter? (maybe he didn't bother to, or he already knows)
Why did Clair and Elle go on an airplane if Elle is unstable? (car probably would take too long and they didn't know what Elle would do, so that might have been the only option)
Anyway, the show isn't going to spend the hour explaining every possible plot hole (which is a good thing) so just accept that there's probably a good explanation (or not, does it really matter?). I thought about stop watching the show earlier in the season but it's actually getting pretty good and I can't believe I have to wait 2 weeks to see the next one.
