Heroes S3E7 "'Eris Quod Sum"

Ah Heroes, so much to laugh at and bitch about...but then, the same goes for GAFs reactions.
How could you seriously not know that fear-hulk guy was not in an illusion when he apple-cored Matt? Not only was it fairly obvious, but just breaking the fourth wall, they're not going to kill off one of the principle cast members during a "regular" episode(read, non-sweeps, season opener, or season finale). And as a(former) avid X-Men reader, it was exactly like a scene with Xavier and some human chick(govermnent agent i think). She was interrogating him, things got heated and she shot him...only she really didn't, it was Xavier "seeing how things would play out".
Also, bitching about Peter not dying from the fall...as soon as he survived, I figured Sylar slowed his descent or blunted the impact...actually, the only ambiguity there for me was whether Sylar or Papa Petrelli did it.
Now for the stupid...Elle and Claire taking an airplane. Yeah yeah yeah, any other mode of non-superhero style transport would be "too slow", but at least in a car, there's a much lesser chance of killing hundreds of innocent people if she sparks out. Way to show blatant disregard for the lives of others.
Hiro once again "finding himself"....yawn
Maury being all insubordinate while being in close physical proximity knowing full well that Arthur Petrelli could touch him, take his power, and render him completely useless...or, as we saw...kill him instantly.
Mohinder...either go into full on Mr. Sinister powerful evil(amoral?) geneticist mode, or go away
Meridith...getting tired of her "ta-da!" fire palm poses...also doesn't help that I can't see her as anything but the Social Studies teacher from Boston Public a few years back. Oh, and how blatant was the "Fire/Ice" opposing forces thematic overtone when she and Tracy were in proximity around Nathan?

I've been enjoying the show a lot more lately, but that doesn't mean I should completely ignore how hard it fails in certain aspects. It'd be ridiculous not to acknowledge that. The constant bitching by others is more than justified.

I don't think it's justified really. While it's fun to read reactions and even comment on some of the "WTF" moments, there's no reason to come into the thread and all out bitch. Just stop watching if you don't like it. I love this show because it's so absurd. It's one of the few shows on TV that doesn't take itself seriously and doesn't seem to care at all. After the drama heavy season closer of Mad Men, I welcomed the unpredictable, bizarre and always outrageous episodes of Heroes. People really need to lighten up.Catalix said:

begrudgingly watched this. Didn't post about the last episode . . . . . I think I'm done. I was bored all the way through and when they closed with hiro and the paste, I was like this is shit. And mohinder is normalising? Show is terrible!
Petrelli dad + sylar and the whole illogical nature of Peter's "escape"..etc is so damn stupid. Super villians? DUMB ASSES. The plane sequence with budget sparky veronica mars is terrible.

Show is entertaining. I've enjoyed every episode this season and then I come on here and there is soo much bitching and every week it is the same thing "I think I've finally given up on this show, I'm never going to watch again!" etc, etc. Then the next week it is the same people coming in bitching again.

If the show doesn't manage to regain its form, I have a plan. Every season after the first becomes "excommunicated", and the entire thing becomes a long miniseries. Not only will that cut out a lot of crap, the series will end on a much more poignant note. That's how I might treat it come Blu-ray purchasing time anyways.
This season is very. . . sloppy.Just about everyone acting out of character,for the sake of story progression is pretty bad writing.It's also obvious that they are moving this season at a very fast pace since a lot of people thought the last 2 seasons were slow.Right now the only remedy would be to take the usually comic book route and do a retcon.I just hope they don't spam the TIME TRAVEL and ALTERNATE TIMELINE stories for next season or a lot of people are gonna ditch this entirely.
