Haha, after reading those spoilers, I'm actually a little bit intrigued about this bullshit. I'll definitely watch the first few episodes (I'm one of the harshest Hero critics you'll find).

Should be somewhat entertaining.
 
Maybe it just reads worse, but I was actually at the panel and I enjoyed seeing the episode and was interested in seeing where this season was going based on it.

Most of the season premiere was screened at Comic-Con. Here are some spoilers:

- The shooter of Nathan Petrelli from last season was revealed - Peter Petrelli from the future.

- Nathan is revived... and has a vision from God. Believing he's an angel on God's mission, he is set up to be some sort of religious zealot in subsequent episodes.

- Sylar corners Claire in her house. Despite hitting Sylar over the head and stabbing him, she's caught. In a scene that drew gasps and revulsion from the audience, we see Sylar probing her brain as she twitches on a table. Claire, who is conscious, asks, "Are you going to eat it?" Sylar responds, "Eat your brain? Claire, that's disgusting." He then steals her invulnerability, then puts her skull cap with the hair back on her head (to more groans). I think someone in the audience got sick after seeing the scene.

- Suresh develops a serum to give humans powers and injects himself, thus giving him super strength.

- Hiro takes over his father's company and discovers a secret formula in his father's safe... which is promptly stolen by a new speedster character. When Hiro travels to the future to see the results, he sees his future self confronting Ando over the formula... then Ando shocking him with a red bolt of electricity.

- HRG is shown in a prison cell while Nikki is shown as the mistress of a Governor.

- Parkman discovers Peter shot his brother, but Peter then zaps him into a far away desert.

Thats pretty terrible.
 
Even though some of those spoilers sound pretty far out there, I'll give it a shot before I instantly doom it to failure like everyone else here. Hell, there's no way it can be any worse than Season 2.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Either way, even if it's only as bad as season 2, does it really matter?
 
I must be the only person who thought season 2 was pretty good.

Oh well, I'll be watching season 3. Although I do admit some of the spoilers are a bit wtf?

Heroes will win Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Mohinder), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy (Niki), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Peter from the Future) and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Jessica) in the 2009 Emmy's.

The only thing worse than that tagline was their early Season 2 teasers. When
Peter is found in Ireland by some dudes, they find a box with him. The most awesome teaser ever teased at the reveal of the contents of [cue whispering] the box [/whisper]. When the following episode aired, they didn't open the box.

Man, Im re watching heroes with my GF cause shes never seen it, and after I made her watch lost, she trusts my judgement, and it just made me realize how AWESOME season 1 is...

im dreading watching the half or whatever of season 2, i already warned her it sucks

she currently likes Heroes S1 > Lost as a whole...

Im sure S2 will skew that view greatly though, and from what ive read, S3...

I guess I should say not as a whole, but she liked S1 better than any of the lost seasons, Im sure after S2 (or 1.5 or whatever), itll be back to Lost >>>> all heroes

I only told her after S1 was done, she already doesnt like S2 cause sylar survived S1! I told her dont worry, that wont be the only thing you wont like (mentioned how ill be eye fcking Kristen Bell the whole time), didnt like that one bit. (FYI, i was stoked Sylar survived, I liked his badassness, but I can just tell, the combo of him surviving, and peter being a douche all season, shes going to hate it, just wanted to talk S2 down so maybe she will get some enjoyment out of it, unlike I did)

killing Alejandro
was one of the season's high points.

Heroes season 1 had that effect on everyone during the early parts of Season 3. It was wierd, the show came out of nowhere and nobody was expecting it to be any good.

But yeah, I would probably put Season 1 above the first part of Lost season 3.

Avoiding the spoilers so that I can save all of my snarky hate for my eventual blog review of the premiere - don't want to waste good reaction material.
 
Fucking huge facepalm moment when the creators were talking about how Peter catching the vial in the strike ending was "elegant and brilliant"
 
This was just as bad. It doesn't make any sense why the mother would be there at the end, and they never explain where the hell Hiro went with Adam. So stupid.
