I know this was already established in the Season 2 premiere, but why would a bullet kill the immortals, but not a nuclear blast that can vaporize them?
Maybe the bullet itself has to be created from some kind of special material or alloy?

In short,

:werewolves:

I don't understand the argument about Daphne outrunning the explosion. I took it as, the explosion happened, her reaction time, even though she can run super fast, isn't as fast as a nuke exploding when you don't expect it. Thus, there was the explosion, just enough hit her as she started her run, and that was that.

Maya with over 50% of the vote. :lol

It's just a shame Claire is a popular character.

As long as Maya keeps rocking that cleavage, I'm 100 percent in favor of her staying in the show. Claire on the other hand....

Why would they not take the Haitain with them to get past Peter?

And seriously though, Peter, Claire, Nathan, and anyone else caught in a fuckin' nuclear explosion should be dead

People shouldn't be able to fly either.

Hey, I'm working within the limits the show set up itself. A single bullet can kill someone who can regenerate in this show, but a nuclear explosion cannot... Does that make sense?

Bullet in the head/brain/whatever stops their regenerative power. Once it is removed they regenerate.

this show has turned into the days of our lives with superpowers
No that was Passions.

And between the two series, Claire is the most annoying out of all of them, even moreso than Teresa. D:<

or she should have at least had to change her clothes!

Claire and Mohinder have joined Matt from Nip/Tuck as my most hated television characters. Future Claire really put her over the hump.

I think this episode showed that Zachary Quinto is not a good actor at all, he can play a bad guy, but him acting emotional when his son died was just terrible.

Still bringing the stupid, but this episode brought action with it. If they keep it up it will work, however, if they start bringing the stupid by itself again, hmm hmm bitch, i'm bouncing.

Anyone know what character returns and is facing Mama Patrelli in the preview for next week?

Adam mayhaps? I don't watch the previews but he was dug out at the end of Monday's episode.

Exactly! Actually it's one of the reasons that speedsters, in terms of being "possible" have always come off very unlikely to me. As soon as you are going fast, if a single obstacle was in your way, by the time it took for you to see that object and have your brain process it, you'd have already hit it. It's the exact same reason why you aren't supposed to ride someone's bumper at highway speeds. If they slam on the brakes, by the time you react you've already hit them.

so how much of this episode takes place and how much of it is parkman's vision?

That's what I was wondering, probably about 90%.

Just watched it, decent ep with some cool sylar moments. I hate claire, such a lousy actress. Also Mohinder for the Fly ripoff shit.

Aside from that I think overall this season is better than S2. Ofcourse this show has alot of bullshit moments, but like others said, if you can't live with that and focus too much on it it's not fun anymore. Then I wouldn't know why to watch the show anyway..

So yeah, good ep :).

Man...I don't think I'll be wasting my time anymore with this series.
I'll believe that when you're not here griping about next week's ep. :lol

I am enjoying the hell out of this season. Screw the haters. I am not approaching it with any logic at all and it is great!! Seriously superior to season 2 and 1 other than a few standout episodes.

Please tell me you just got high and drank 5 shots of Jack Daniels.

I had a lot of the exasperated disappointment echoed here, but I watched it a 2nd time tonight. I liked it more the 2nd time (I forwarded thru boring talky parts with Parkman and trapped Hiro/Ando).

Plus column: Future/Adjusted-to-Society Gabriel/Sylar was indeed pretty funny stuff; the battle between Clair/fear villain guy/Daphne with Peter and Gabriel was good stuff - watch it again. The explosion was great visually. Peter showing Sylar-esque tendencies after learning Sylar's power (w/Nathan!) was good comic book stuff. Adam's appearance and episode-ending line was great too, I cracked up.

Minus column: One minute I'm watching a great super powers battle and nuclear explosion, the next I'm watching the fakest flying scene w/Nathan and the freeze girl triplet; No way do I believe that Daphne hooked up with Parkman; Gabriel's little boy, "Noah" of all names, becoming collateral damage was too much -- who wants to see that? Cheap deus-ex-machina solution to make Sylar go nuclear, and him cradling the little boy came across as disturbing in a tasteless way to me. Ech. I hate all the future versions of everybody. Especially Claire.

I hate the future stuff, enough of that please.

Why is it so hard to believe that people can, and do walk away from this show?

I'd say the ratings point towards the fact that a lot of people are walking away from this show.

Yep. Definitely fallen off dramatically. I think it'll only continue to do so at this rate.

Sylar also took Claire's virginity.

But then it regenerated!

I'm loving this season. Shaking everything up so dramatically was a cheap trick, but I'm eating it up with a spoon. My wife's loving it, too, but she walks away angry from every episode. This time it was because they
dug up Adam/Kensei.

That said, I've got good money that says Mohinder's dead by the end of the season, and 50/50 on Peter.

I don't think Mohinder will die. Now that Peter has Sylar's ability, maybe he'll go see Mohinder and figure out what went wrong with his formula and find a way to reverse it.

I stopped watching.
from what I've heard... I made the right choice. Pushing Dasies will get cancelled and this bullshit will remain.

Here's how the ratings are for this season so far.

Week 1 (Premiere/2 eps) - 10.09m
Week 2 - 9.50m
Week 3 - 8.2m

This season started at series lows and it's been dropping significantly week to week. This might be a good thing though as budget cutbacks will probably mean they'll cut down on the cast and hopefully get rid of these shitty characters.

I'm close to giving up.

Season 1 was fun, season 2 was 'I'm watching it cause season 1 was fun'

Season 3 is just Season 2 + some more action. But there is no consequences, nothing happens!

x is dead. now he's alive again. Even the dead bitch got another role as her triplet sister. I mean really.

Also, what's with sylar being invincible before he gets the cheerleader? That is such a crock, he got shot soo many times before getting the regen power.

There is no consequences for death, because they just come back. The attempts to be intriguing (bad claire) etc are just sort of laughable. At this point I'm watching it just for the superhero porn, but I dunno, the effects aren't even that good and they always ignore the powers that would make sense to use.

I'm on a toss up with season 3, but I'm enjoying it way more than season 2. I actually thought ep1 was really good, ep2 was solid, and ep3 was ok but shits all over the place now.

The thing I hate most about the show is the letdown of the villans. The show hypes them up so much, only for them to get owned easily. How does magneto die from one punch? Weak! Show us some Heros vs Villian epic battle to redemption damnit! >=[

You really want to know?

I'm pretty sure it's either Arthur or Adam.

They showed the previews last night during Kath & Kim or The Office, I forget which. It's definitely appears to be
Papa Patrelli
.

I'm pretty sure that Arthur Petrelli (Robert Forster) is the person that Angela is confronting in that first preview. I had a thought that while Arthur is defeintely showing up in the episode, it could have been Adam she was seeing at that particular point. But given that she seems to have the one telling Hiro to retrieve Adam, I have to imagine it's Arthur.

Just got caught up. Season 3 is completely awesome. No joke. How people can declare this a train wreck is beyond me. :lol Seriously. :lol I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt. Must be too complicated to wrap your heads around. That's okay, though. Hopefully they spell it out over the next couple episodes, but I feel I got a pretty good handle on it. I was preparing for the worst and got everything but that. I love the new dark tone to the show. Didn't encounter many plot holes. The few I "did" find, I was able to explain by the end of the episode. Just takes some thought. That's what I love about Heroes right now. The story is SO good. Can't wait for the next episode. :D

EDIT: Oh yeah, and, my God, is there a lot of action. Sure makes up for the last two seasons.
