Great video by Oliver, feels like he leveled up with this one. Now imagine Playground saw this game and felt motivated to make an Auto Modelista spiritual sequel, come on MS, let them!
This minus the button mashing. The rhythm makes me think of what to do next and how to react. And so far they've continued to introduce new gameplay mechanics and enemies each chapter.
I suck ass at games like DMC that give a score after encounters but I'm finding this very fun. And it gorgeous to look at.
Yeah, HiFi Rush is totally worth its asking price and then some. I was pretty blown away how fleshed out it was, with multiple stages, great characters, a well written story and high production values. I didn't think it was gonna be so packed with content when I saw the trailer and MS even go so far as to shadow drop it. I thought the game was like 4-5 hours, tops.
I mean, Sable was made to be a 30fps game, with even lower framerate animations as in Hi-Fi Rush cut scenes at that, they just allowed folks to remove the 30fps cap cos of whining, even though it's not an action game anyway. It makes sense it's not optimized for the high fps they never intended.
Outside that, I didn't much like the game in the end, I mostly loved that the world design reminded me of Panzer Dragoon since the early showings of it rather than their game design, but their art style is brilliant.
I wouldn't even call it a rhythm game. The combat system gives you damage bonus for attacking on beat. Bosses and mini bosses also have rhythm QTE sequences that work more like finishers. It's done really well and I don't feel like I'm playing a rhythm game.
Kill the Xbox One with fire. If I could, I'd break into every house and smash their Xbox One consoles to pieces and just tell them to buy a Series S as I'm being hauled off by the cops.
What an abortion of a console. It just needs to die.
