My ma went down to watch Rod Stewart and got her purse jacked, any advice for her?

[UPDATE] I picked her up from the airport, she flew back fine. I didn't ask her about the situation because there might be shame and liquor woven into her tale. Thanks for the advice y'all, it is well taken!

Call the providers to cancel any cards. If they're not from the US they'll need to contact their embassy for emergency travel documents/ID.

Yea, just cancel (edit: don't cancel, just report that you lost them) them all and let the various entities know. As far as the credit and debit cards are concerned, you're protected by fraud protection under federal law so if someone starts ringing shit up you won't have to pay them as long as you report the loss early. Like now. tonight.

I asked that she go back to the casino and ask for the tapes, cameras everywhere.

Also I'm not sure this is legit, I'm kind of suspicious about the who where what when why ngl

as her son, I think you're obligated to whore yourself to some millionaire/casino boss/mob boss now to get her money and cards back. I think that's how it goes in the movies.

My wallet got stolen in Vegas a bunch of years ago. I bought a 1-way plane ticket for a friend to bring me my passport from LA, and then he drove back with me.
Cancelled all my CC's that morning, they'd already run up a few hundred dollars worth of charges..

Make sure at some point to also contact credit check places and ensure their profile cannot have anyone opening up a loan, CC or mortgage unless they get approval. What happens is if they apply for a loan, t wont go through until someone calls them to verify yes they are applying for something.

Equifax and Transunion are two big ones.
