He created the masterpiece know as Neon Genesis Evangelion and literally saved anime.

Also, Anno, you should be working on 3.0+1.0!

To be honest, his style doesn't fit godzilla, like at all.

Apparently Anno became very depressed after 3.0 and hasn't even started production on the last movie yet! The Animator Expo thing and maybe this are his ways of getting out of that funk, I guess.

This might sound horrible...but then the movies (Godzilla and Evangelion) might turn amazing.

Don´t get me wrong, I really hope he pulls himself together and beats the torment he´s feeling. But it is well known that Anno´s best works are the ones he makes during/after depression, since he devotes himself into his art to fight depression.

Dude's really something and a great example.
