Outside of Metal Gear, Tanaka shared a few insights into Konami's development plans as a whole. The company will be releasing remakes of more classic titles and tapping into more classic franchises in the future.
I'm getting sick of the remake talk though. As much as I would beat my drum for a Snatcher remake, ultimately it doesn't need to happen.vag 2.0 said:Pining for Snatcher isn't necessarily sequelitis. There isn't a 'definitive' version and outside of the Japanese Playstation release (which really, really sucks anyway) there isn't a version on a console owned by more than four people. It's one of very few games that really does deserve a remake.
Kafel said:Kojima isn't the director in the ZOE series, is he ?
edit : what about Snatcher episodes on XBLA and PSN ? I'd like to see Kojima try this.
BigBoss said:Kojima was the producer for both ZOE games, Nojiri directed ZOE1 and Murata directed ZOE2. Shuyo Murata is now co-director for MGS4.
Callibretto said:is Nojiri the guy who made Metal Gear Acid on psp? if he is, I think he has improved a lot in directing his game. mga is a lot more polished and felt complete than zoe. can't wait what his next projext is
Big promotion, advertising and bundles = different story. 1 million seems a bit hopeful. But if it becomes a must-have with PS3, it couldThunder Monkey said:Yeah, but to expect it to crack 1 million units when it couldn't even do so on the PS2 is more then crazy.
To be honest, I'll be surprised if it hits 500,000 units lifetime given how low the PS3's userbase is.
I'd hit it. Hard.Himuro said:new IP project collaboration with Suda51.

I'd expect by the time MGS4 launches in Japan that the PS3 userbase "might" be passed the 2.05 million unit mark.
No guarantees though. Hard enough to sell to over 10% of a market, but to sell to 50% of the market is just fucking dreaming.
Himuro said:ZZZ. ZOE. One of the most overrated action games of last gen.

Would rock.

The one that Kojima will keep talking about wanting to make for the next four years until the XBox 3 shows up, at which point he'll start talking about that instead to try and take attention away from the fact that he's been talking about a game he's had no plans to actually make for six years because he dislikes the XBox line for no actual reason.Crusade said:What 360 game?
