High Voltage Software (Conduit Dev) Licenses Infernal Engine To Make HD Games

They should do their first HD project and use PSN/XBLA. Maybe HD-up Madworld and see how it sells as a DD, that should give them a good indication if a fully-fledged title sell.

Except madworld was not developed by HVS.

Kotaku had "next-generation" in quotes--it was quoting the language used in the press release itself, which later discusses how the company already has Wii technology and is now "incorporating" Xbox 360 and PS3, so obviously it's High Voltage that considers the Xbox 360 and PS3 to be "next-generation" relative to the Wii.

quote was from Terminal Reality wasn't it?

Ghostusters looked great on my computer, very clean image and great physics....were the console versions that bad or just the ps3?
I wasn't impressed with the PC game. The loading times were much longer than any other recent PC game I've played and the framerate wasn't as smooth as it could have been either. Quite a disappointment.

"With more than 75 titles shipped, High Voltage Software has a proven track record of developing quality products on all of the current platforms. Through the use of the Infernal Engine technologies, they are now able to extend that remarkable track record into the next-generation platforms."

They are not fecking Next-Gen though..

Just PS3. The 360 version was HD with AA.

This sounds backwards, shouldnt HVS be licensing their OWN engine out to other devs?

They're trying to with their Quantum engine for Wii and its ilk (PS2, PSP.) This Infernal license is for PS3 and 360, although Infernal has also been used in a handful of Wii titles as well so it could be that even though they're all about their Wii engine, they may use Infernal for some of their cash-in licensed games and port them to all five current platforms, whereas Quantum will be used for their games (and hopefully their better games, I don't love them but I admire their effort with Conduit) aimed at Wii and other lesser systems.

I have to say they are quite smart at using the Wii niche hardcore userbase to market themselves to enter the HD market.

Had they go straight to the HD market no one would care about them.

74 of them were horrible. And the other one is Conduit. Yeah, that's what I call a proven track record.

A proven track record of shit and garbage.
I believe you're confusing NBA Inside Drive with NBA Live.

Just make more Inside Drive games and some good will come of this mess.
Now this man, this man is a patriot.

I would argue that (most) people still don't care about them. Nothing i've read about The Conduit makes me look forward to any of their future projects, at least.

I'm sure they'll do great on the HD platforms. Wasn't everyone saying that The Conduit would've made a real splash in the PS360 FPS market without the Wiimote controls?

well done. :lol

Just the PS3, which has blurry-ass textures. The 360 version looks great.

The loading times were indeed ridiculous, and i have a 10k rpm raptor drive. :/

HVS + Infernal Engine, wow...
Just have Backbone handle the online stuff for your next game, and it's like the perfect trifecta of the awesome.
