Hillary Clinton officially launches presidential campaign

Right but Hilary, if no other Democrat is running, is the only sane choice. Any type of GOP leader at this point is for the worse of the country.

Now on the video, besides the gay couples that may anger some red states, they have hispanics represented as well and they are speaking in spanish. This will also anger some folks...lol.

A GOP leader isn't going to be able to win, at this point. Due to their own infighting, they wont be able to run any sort of coherent campaign. While a GOP leader would be worse for, social issues. I dont see them straying away from any hardline diplomacy/nation decisions that are benefiting business and lobbies, more so than citizens. Militarized police happened under republicans and democrats alike, just like our dwindling rights. No one is going to take on the NRA. No one is going to stop supporting Israel. No one is going to reform prisons into actual rehabilitation centers, and not private prisons that donate to the whitehouse. No one is going to cripple the military budget, and put that into our nation.

Its hard to say "outside" of social issues, and focus on other things that are significant for qualities of life here, but jobs/education/health is all in horrible shape. She definitely has my vote. But, Effort needs to be made by our population to get actual candidates in that represent citizens, as it was intended. Not people that are bought off by the same group of people every term. I can't forget this, and Obama was a huge reminder of this.

While it will be good for equal rights, and such, when i see some change in the way things are going, i'll gladly note it. Until then, its hard to get into the campaign of the presidency. We watched republicans shut down our nation. The system is broken right now.

The republicans don't have to win an office to do what they want to do.

Making it so that you have to raise millions to run for public offices defeats the point of public office.

There's a portion of Republicans who still think women shouldn't be allowed to vote because they "act out of emotion" and are more prone to expanding the welfare state and championing reproductive rights. Needless to say, you can certainly expect incredibly sexist remarks.

lol, the GOP candidates are already going for the "Don't vote for her, she's bad" approach instead of the "Vote for me, I'm better and this is why" approach. Never change.

Yep, it's sad. I wished elections depended more on ideals rather than discovering more shit on your adversary.

I find it ironic because the GOP are the ones who cleared the Administration of any wrongdoing nearly FIVE times, yet their base still eats it up!

You couldn't make this shit up if you tried.

Wait.

WAIT

The REPUBLICANS are the ones who cleared the Administration of a Benghazi coverup?

@__@

I....

Need to sit down.

Jesus, I feel like Politics is a trip to the twilight zone daily

I still think this is all a waste of money. Theres no need to travel the country and waste millions of dollars on this anymore. Have a few debates on tv/online that take over most tv channels during Primetime and put the wasted money towards actual problems in the country.
I think you underestimate the influence of money in politics...

Ideally the money used in political campaigns would be applied to the 'actual problems' you speak of, but the money used in campaigns eventually factor into the economy.

I didn't really like the logo when I saw the static image on the website, but it definitely is a lot better in motion in that video, in my opinion. Still nothing extraordinary, but I don't think a logo needs to be that anyways, just something simple and memorable.

Hillary: "oh shit MonHun Stories is totes cewt and coming out in 2016! Gotta get ma vidya out there before everyone forgets me."

Probably.

My favorite FreeRepublic reaction to the video thus far:

Yes, folks. There is a difference.

Disappointed in the video. Kept waiting for Bill to jump in to frame at the ending and ask "Can I come too?" Like some sort of lovable gnome :D

But sadly no :/

The money all of these guys raise could help fix the water problem in California, or dig a state out of debt, or go to schools. Its just a waste of money on everyone's part. 90% of the country are voting for a "team." the people in the middle (like myself) usually get their information from the internet now. Just make a bullet point of their views and promises they'll eventually back away from, and lets move on.

If you look hard enough, you can find a case for everything. In the case of logos and symbolism, only a fool would argue for complexity.

point is that simple isn't always effective. Just because its a simple logo doesn't make it a good logo.

First First Lady to become President
First President to become First Lady

It will have to be gender-non-specific after this.

After so many (happy) years with Angela Merkel I can't even imagine seeing sexist regards towards her from any party. You'll get there America. You'll get there.

Yes, folks. There is a difference.

anal sodomy and cunnilingus would have been interesting in a campaign announcement to say the least

hillary already playing it safe? should we be worried she's not taking big risks?

Guys, I don't see how we're going to win with that shitty arrow logo. The Republicans all have cool torches in theirs, and if there's anything the American people care about, it's graphic design.

dont forget that conservatives basically have a monopoly on unemployed recently graduated art majors

ive never met one who wasnt libertarian

Meh, the video is ok but is completely meaningless until she takes some actual policy stances, which it sounds like she's not going to do for a while yet. That video tells me fuck all about what her policy agenda and focus is going to be during the campaign.

Plenty of republicans like to talk about how the deck is stacked in favor of the rich and powerful too, but their policy doesn't back up their rhetoric. At least i know what their policies are though.

I'm still completely unconvinced Clinton will be backing that rhetoric up with solid stances if it pisses off Wall Street (which any adequate legislation addressing income inequality would). It's my single biggest issue with Obama, who i otherwise really like, and i couldn't have seen Clinton doing even the modest reforms Obama was willing to do like creating the CFPB and unleashing Elizabeth Warren on the banks.

The main criticism the Right will shed on her is Benghazi, an issue long put to bed by a GOP committee. That alone tells you how weak their campaign is

Really pathetic that this is what the race to the highest office has become.
