Cliffhanger wasn't terrible.

I see your point.
I wonder if he still holds the record of making the biggest flop ever in Hollywood history with Cutthroat Island.

Without a doubt, Napolean. Hes had movies made, but not the 200 million dollar epic he deserves.

From wikipedia:
The film includes some 15,000 Soviet foot soldiers as extras and 2,000 cavalrymen, some of which were Cossack horsemen ("it was said that, during its making, director Sergei Bondarchuk was in command of the seventh largest army in the world"

Amazing scale in the battle scenes for a movie made in 1970. No CG here, only tens of thousands of extras. The movie itself wasn't that good in my opinion, but worth watching for the battle scenes.

What about Archimedes? there are so many stories about him, it could be really fun. Running through the streets shouting Eureka, defending his city with strange devices, and dying over a math problem he scribbled into the dirt.

Holy shit.

Bo Jackson. Except do it with a storyline where he never gets injured, and goes on to be the best athlete is the history of ever.

Michael Jackson is sort of a no-brainer. Though, in trying to prevent that movie from being overly opinionated, it could actually turn out to be pretty boring. He's just one of those characters in history where the movie has to try to match up to the intensity and strength of the person and his story in real life.

I have a feeling (premature) that Lady Gaga might be one of those people posthumous. Call it GAF's infatuation with her, but if you just sift through her quotes, I think she's a very broken person. And often a movie is as strong as the weakness of the protagonist. She has little to no celebrity friends, seems to be dangerously attached and thankful to and of her fans because of this her life has become a performance. There's no way she'll be able to keep this up forever.

Edit: Now that I've started speculating on current celebrities (off topic much?) and their story being depicted on the big screen, I'd love to see a movie on Obama. And it's safe to say it will happen, but perhaps not in his life time? I feel all kinds of interesting tidbits will be revealed about how he coped with his presidency after his (hopeful) 8 years. I feel like the dude has so much to be dismayed about. Having said that I'd rather see his intelligence on display. Obviously he's a smart cookie.

When he reached the top, one of the target bunkers opened fire on him with machine guns. Yadav ran toward the hail of bullets, pitched a grenade in the window and killed everyone inside. By this point the second bunker had a clear shot and opened fire, so he ran at them, taking bullets while he did, and killed the four heavily-armed men inside with his bare hands.

Meanwhile, the remainder of his squad was standing at the top of the cliff staring at him saying, “dude, holy shit!” They then all went and took the third bunker with little trouble.

For his gallantry and sheer ballsiness, he was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military award. Unlike the Medal of Honor, the Param Vir Chakra is only given for “rarest of the rare gallantry which is beyond the call of duty and which in normal life is considered impossible to do.” That’s right, you actually have to break the laws of reality just to be eligible.

How awesome is it that India's highest military honor looks like a big shiny pair of metal balls.

I know..."that's the joke", etc.
