This thing people have with trying to give Hitler all these embarrassing problems really bothers me. It seems like a coping mechanism to distance normal humanity from the Nazis when the things that led to/made the Nazis are too human and too normal for us to be comfortable with. Stuff like this basically destroys any insight and lessons to be gained from tragedy while making us feel better. Just a thing that has nagged at me when I see it brought up.
