I haven't played either, so you people need to convince me where to place my vote.

How? This is a one sided fight. Now it’s getting really interesting.
P5 has an ironic scene with gay people who made reeee mad as hell, it deserve your vote just for this fact alone.I haven't played either, so you people need to convince me where to place my vote.
You need to get your shit together and get off fucking NeoGAF to go play both of these.
Well I don't know about other people here on Neogaf, but I only participate in votes with games I have actually played.
And I guess most games that are in the Vote for game of the generation are worthy of a playthrough.
Go play hollow Knight for the next 24 hours then come back.

A fucking ugly indie game with a horrible main character vs Makoto beautiful and the beautiful maid girl.
You have no fucking idea of what you're talking about and sure as hell you never played HK.ugly indie game with a horrible main character
We all see your forum avatar my friend, so we've already guessed how your vote ends.A fucking ugly indie game with a horrible main character vs Makoto beautiful and the beautiful maid girl.
Of course my vote is for P5
I don't like sidescrollers, so I couldn't get into Hollow Knight.
Persona 5 had me hooked up immidetely though, so my vote goes to the Phantom Thieves.
I'm not voting in this one... sorry, is too hard to pick one. ^^u
Goddamn son.A fucking ugly indie game with a fucking bug main character vs ratkoto and the statutory rapist escort.
Ok, talking serious. I had your same exact impression before playing it. I thought the art style was crap.Talking serious... Is a great game... And why.?
Im gonna check it.
How can you not like sidescrollers?
What year did you start playing games?
I personally really liked Odin Sphere and Muramasa, basically most Vanillaware games. They make my favourite sidescrollers beat em ups.Started playing in late 90's and I've played a fair share of that type of games when I grew up.
It's more of a personal preference to why I don't like sidescrollers. I can appreciate the artstyle for sure, but I quickly lose interest when it comes to gameplay.
I started playing in the mid 90's, i was just a little kid and boy did i hate sidescrollers as well, i had Sonic games and Mario and they bored me to death. Chrono Trigger is the game that saved gaming for me.Started playing in late 90's and I've played a fair share of that type of games when I grew up.

This is like asking me to choose between blondes and brunettes... impossible!
PD: Loved Muramasa but never played Odin Sphere... guess that's about to change.
The dlc was pretty good. Available exclusively on the Ps Vita. (vita means life! LIFE!)
I really need them to bring Muramasa to PS4/Switch.The dlc was pretty good. Available exclusively on the Ps Vita. (vita means life! LIFE!)
Yeah about that, I told Sega to never port that game ever again. Sorry.I really need them to bring Muramasa to PS4/Switch.

Just play it on the Vita!
Why!? They could give it same treatment as Odin Sphere leifthrasir and include all the DLC.

I did enjoy playing fighting games as a kid with my friends though.
