Drkirby said:Why not block off the train tracks in the area to keep things from getting hit by the train?
Why not pull over the other trains on the tracks?
Why can't a far faster helicopter keep track of the train?
Why can't they just cause the tracks to go in circles till the train runs out of what runs it?
Instead of having anther train pull on it in the opposite direction, why not get a helicopte close, and get on top, and just open/break down the intercar doors?
This Movie's logic sucks D:
1. They do in the longer trailer block off the tracks in towns but lets be honest are there enough cops in small towns to block both side of all railroad crossings?
2. I'm sure they stop other trains from leaving but train rides are very long and most likely they go "Oh snap Bob this train that is no run away is going to smash into this other train full of children who have been traveling for 3 hours and have 7 more hours to go!" And trains don't go backwards on tracks well I hear when towing lots of cargo.
3. Most likely cause nobody in that part of the country can fly a faster helicopter, plus the helicopter kept up just landing people on the train was hard.
4. Because a VERY fast train will tip on curves, they show it almost tipping in a different trailer. Also I doubt they have a giant track loop they could leave it on, the loop has to be longer than the train.
5. Okay so the helicopter part is a good idea, but draggin a person below you about 80mp/h then trying to land them on it would be pretty damn hard and scary for the person landing. This is a cargo train there are no doors except on the first few trains where usually an engineer is.
Okay so lets say they do the impossible task of landing a person on this train from the air, or this off the wall idea of latching on the back of the train from another one which from this point on sounds much less dangerous. Now that we have landed people on this train HOW DO WE STOP IT? I don't know why this train "Has no air brakes" pretty stupid idea how will it stop when it arrives at its destination? Did they break on the way I dunno.
I guess they could disconnect all the cargo and let it slow down on the tracks, but I guess hypothetically it could tip easier when its not being pulled. I know pulling a trailer with a truck if the truck stop accelerating the trailer behind it moving slightly faster sways from side to side if its lighter. But this is all untested just hypothesis. Plus we would still have to deal with the main car on the tracks that would most likely go faster and wreck on the next curve.
So somehow we have to get brakes on a train without them right? How do we do that? Oh well I guess the I agree off the wall, random, and pretty shitty plot kinda works in that sense. I personally would have disconnected the cargo on a straight away and deliberately wrecked the front car in the country. But thats messy and risky.
BTW I saw the longer trailer when I went to see Machete and the first 4 minutes I was in shock about how stupid it was, it looked better later in the trailer but yes shooting the trains wheels would just cause it to wreck right? Don't we want to NOT spill all this hazardous material?
