Honest Game Trailer - Dark Souls

I was expecting it to make a lot of assumptions and generalisations, but it was totally spot on. If they weren't already fans of the games, then they really did their homework.

I think the guy doing the voice is actually a gamer too. Every now and then you notice it on Screen Junkies too.
 
I wonder who did the research for the series because all of the comments were dead on, and some of comments sounded like it would come from forum users eg: magic=casual.
 
I see honest trailers has gone into the video game realm after having it's way with movies. dat extra revenue stream material.

Yep, that pretty much perfectly summarizes my three Souls experiences. And the fact that I suck ass and usually have zero patience.

I played it after Dark Souls 1 & 2, and while I think it's worth playing, it was definitely the easiest of the three. I don't really know why people constantly bring it up as being by far the best, though the narrative was more coherent in it.

I'm surprised it wasn't shitted on since the smosh games crew hate the series. Although I'm not sure if it's Smosh games or the staff at Screenjunkies who write these Honest Video Game trailers.

People always like back fondly on their first experience. Once you get a "feel" for the games, subsequent entries are easier for sure. I started with Dark 1 and didn't get the same level of "magic" from the other games, and I know that a large part of that is because I played Dark first.

You won't find many people who started with Dark or Dark 2 who think Demon's is a better game.
 
Honest Game Trailers is seriously one of, if not the greatest video series on Youtube.

Spot on every time, so funny.

The Diablo 3 and Final Fantasy 7 ones were great.

Always a +1 for "beewwbbbs" too.
 
they're pretty good. I always liked their trailers for movies, didn't know that they were also doing games.

This was a lot more hit than miss when compared to some of their other trailers. It also made me want to get back into DS. The biggest problem they outline in this video is one that I find to be very spotty and weird (hit detection)...sometimes I feel that DS has the best hit detection I've ever experienced in a game, and then other times it's bewilderingly horrible. Hopefully it tends towards the former in Bloodborne or the inevitable DSIII.

I think they really hit it with this trailer, I hope they keep making them.
 
Pretty funny, though most of the real negatives only apply to Dark Souls 2. E.g. Bad hit-boxes and excessive but-hitting, Dark Souls 1 is perfect in nearly every way ;)
 
loved the video. I didn't realize people actually claim to play Demon souls to be cool. Playing that game was amazing, there was next to no info about it.
 
Great video, though I am not a fkn hipster dammit!!! DS and Des plats are my 2 proudest, though Des was much tougher, stupid pure bladestone. DS is my fav though. I really love how the levels inter-connect and it sotra has more story, though none of the souls games have an obvious, in your face story.

to this day I have never gotten the pure bladestone.
