Hoooly Shit! Watch out Burnout- New Split Second Trailer

Closed tracks? Cool. Isn't there another racing game with this kind of event triggering in development? I know I read something like that in a magazine (can't remember which).

Don't know about event triggering, but Bizarre is doing Blur (car combat racing title).

If it has closed tracks it already is superior to Burnout Paradise. I hate that open world racing shit!

QFT
Burnout Paradise was a huge dissapointment for me exactly for this reason

Blur is a lot closer to being this games competition than Burnout is. And going by the two trailers that aired last night for those games, Split/Second is way ahead of Blur.

The video is impressive. It's certainly reminiscent of the earlier Burnout games, with a twist of Stuntman thrown in for good measure.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is supposed to have event triggering, such as causing an avalanche with your car horn.

Funny that, I always thought I was partial to good games in general. Don't project your fanboy shit on me, dork.

come on man, your one of the most notorious sony fanboys around here. dont even try to deny it. everyone already knows. what do you think those bans were for? =/ lol dork.

I'm not the one bringing console wars shit into this thread. So yeah, stop projecting your fanboy shit on me, dork.
You didn't. But you didn't need to bring up Pure, whether you liked it or not, ass. :lol

Just saw this on GTTV...amazing. Can't wait.

If you think about it, this "split second" mechanic is a nice way to freshen up the racing genre. It'll be fun to try and dodge some crazy shit.

not to derail but i seem to remember 1080 Avalanche on Gamecube having something like this, where the person in the lead could trigger the avalanche? Or maybe i misremembering. Either way that game was pretty underrated. I actually liked it better than 1080 N64, though i hated WaveRace Blue Storm.

That looks so ridiculous! I can't wait. I love over the top racing games.

Does GT really need a 7 second world exclusive title? I mean, you gotta limit yourself.

Looks great but happened to level designs that took on different elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Ice etc). All we get now are Sunny LA lite tracks.

Would love a Speed Racer game that utilized this engine or the Burnout one.

game looks tight. i like all kinds of burnout. fuck car take downs. i'm gonna ram a fucking 747 up your ass.
