Horizon forbidden west direct feed gameplay without commentary

I just finished the DLC on PS5 and have to say I'm looking forward to this game. These clips look like a resolution mode, so hopefully the 60fps mode isn't like 1080p otherwise I'm waiting for a PC version. That said, it doesn't look a ton different, which is fine, but movement in the original could be rigid at times.

Not final build!
I wouldn't expect it to change. The way it's now is very likely due to practicality and game play first reasons. It would introduce problems when she reattaches the bow in battle, they don't want it to end up top of the hair, sandwiching the hair between the back and the bow. Her hair would simply not play nice with the way she carries the bow on her back.

Are you not allowed to use the glider from very high places, or why is nobody doing it? Why use those slow ropes to get down when you could just jump off the edge and open up the glider close to the ground, BotW style? Was the same in the IGN preview (maybe it's the same footage?).

Also, it kinda bugs me that she always walks and runs with her arms floating a foot from her body. Looks unnatural, that's not how real people act.
That's how you run if you have a lots of stuff attached to your hips. You walk like a gunslinger, just ask anyone that has been in the army.

Maybe the first one spoiled me too much or I remember it wrong, but i don't see that much of a jump forward.
I mean, the first one was a techincal showcase as well.

OK, you got me, I watched a couple of minutes of the video. I've been avoiding everything about it since it was first announced and that will be the last I see of it until it's out.
I know that people used to say that Guerrilla were all about the tech but for me it was very much the tech that held the first game back. In may ways it was incredible but in terms of pretty much anything to do with people you could tell that they were struggling with it and probably weren't where they wanted to be in those areas.
From the couple of minuets I saw of this video it really seems like they've dealt with it now, everything just seems to hold together much better, it feels far more natural because of that. I know like all cross gen games (Ghost of Tsushima, Halo, Forza Horizon 5, Gran Turismo 7, etc, etc) you know that all these games are being held back by being cross gen but they've all been pretty amazing games and it just makes me think about what these teams will be able to accomplish moving forwards.
Still not played New Game+ of the original but I only recently finished that game, it was well over 150 hours and I was still loving it so I can't wait for this, although I may pick Elden Ring up first. Neither Elden Ring or this are the sort of games I want to just mess around in, what I start playing them it will be good a time before I want to start another substantial game.
I really like that you can scan for footholds now, that style fits in well with this world and not all games can really fit it into the world as well as this can simply due to the setting but I do like that you don't have to scan if you don't want too.
