OK, you got me, I watched a couple of minutes of the video. I've been avoiding everything about it since it was first announced and that will be the last I see of it until it's out.
I know that people used to say that Guerrilla were all about the tech but for me it was very much the tech that held the first game back. In may ways it was incredible but in terms of pretty much anything to do with people you could tell that they were struggling with it and probably weren't where they wanted to be in those areas.
From the couple of minuets I saw of this video it really seems like they've dealt with it now, everything just seems to hold together much better, it feels far more natural because of that. I know like all cross gen games (Ghost of Tsushima, Halo, Forza Horizon 5, Gran Turismo 7, etc, etc) you know that all these games are being held back by being cross gen but they've all been pretty amazing games and it just makes me think about what these teams will be able to accomplish moving forwards.
Still not played New Game+ of the original but I only recently finished that game, it was well over 150 hours and I was still loving it so I can't wait for this, although I may pick Elden Ring up first. Neither Elden Ring or this are the sort of games I want to just mess around in, what I start playing them it will be good a time before I want to start another substantial game.
I really like that you can scan for footholds now, that style fits in well with this world and not all games can really fit it into the world as well as this can simply due to the setting but I do like that you don't have to scan if you don't want too.
