I guess I should have said, I would like to have seen "more in-game sequences" represented. Most of what was shown was a cut scene. I want to see what fidelity We'll be getting in-game.
Also have they shown off the 60fps mode yet?

I'm gonna need one of those Youtube plot recap videos closer to the time. I can barely remember a thing about the plot from the first game. Aloy is important and Lance Reddick is a badass, that's about it.
Probably gonna be putting this on the backburner so I don't have to squeeze it in the week before Elden Ring. I made the same mistake with BOTH and Horizon got shelved hard.

They definitely seem to have gone for a more cartoony style this time. The first one was mostly realistic, just with saturated colours.
I'm just sick of bloody cutscene footage. I don't understand the aversion to just showing 60fps gameplay. We know from the state of play that gameplay looks much better than cutscenes, and 60fps looks much better than 30fps. Just show that ffs. But I guess we'll probably have to wait for reviews now to see that proper footage.

Was there not a state of the play 20 min video of Aloy fighting on the beach vs the mammoth, swimming and jumping around, dropping smoke bombs etc.?

No, nothing's been shown of the 60fps mode yet.
I can't be the only one to realise that 1440p60 footage looks much better than 4k30 footage on *Youtube*, given the compression and the actual displays most people are watching on??
60fps holds up perfectly on Youtube. 4k doesn't hold up at all, even in the unlikely scenario that someone is watching on a 4k screen. So show 60fps!

Well for me, despite all of MS's acquisitions, I still much prefer Sony's first party games and i suspect I'm not the only one. I was rather disappointed with Halo Infinite. Sure it's better than Halo 5 but still a far cry from Reach in my book. There's really no first party MS game I'm super excited to play except maybe Forza 8. I am curious about Starfield and maybe that will get me excited once I see actual gameplay, but I'm really afraid it'll be Elder Scrolls/Fallout but in space with all the same shitty mechanics both of those games share. I hope that won't be the case. But on PS5 there's at least 5 or 6 exclusives I can think up that I'm excited about. I'm not saying MS won't have great exclusives down the line but as of right now, they're just not there, and acquisitions are nice but those new studios will need to crank out some amazing games to matter in the end. I have a PS5 and a Series X with Gamepass so in the end I'll get to play everything I want to. I've learned to live without nintendo for 15 years so I don't miss their games at all and as for PC I've given up on it til I can buy a GPU at MSRP.

There was the fat guy who spent the whole first game crying, the black guy who no one rememebers but has a cool beard now and that other black guy who is clearly the villain but Aloy still just does everything he tells her for some reason .Love everything about this but the story
Just watching this trailer made me cringe. Dont know why, it doesnt gel with me since the first Horizon.
I would have enjoyed much more if it was personal instead of something this epic

I'm looking forward to this though. Story beats specifically. Will be interesting to see how far Guerilla have come with refining all the systems etc.

I have this pre-ordered since June last year and it's probably going to be awesome on the PS5 anyway, but I have to say some of the footage shown in this last trailer really seems to be showing the PS4's legacy IMO.
The greener zones with all the foliage still look great, but the scenes in the desert just look like they might as well have been taken from a PS4 Pro.
Humans have this plastic-y skin feeling and the lighting seems to be all over the place. It looks like they're using some pre-baked lighting for the tents and floor that just doesn't match the NPCs'.
