One of my favorite movies it is amazing how it blends with every other action movie.

Also for the greater good off course.

My favorite subtle gag/homage I never see mentioned anywhere, is in that scene, where the twins that are finally born are named: Roger and Martin.

Like these two:

As a Shawn fan I hated the movie when I first watched it like 8 years ago.
But now I love it, even get's better every time.

It's been 10 years?! Damn...
And yeah, it is as close to perfect as possible, imho. Probably watched it more times than any other movie.

Same here. Shaun is my favorite movie, but for some reason Fuzz didn't click with me when I saw it a few years ago. Now it's like I could watch it every day.

I love how it's very reminiscent of theater where the performers remain the same (for most parts) and the roles change: Starting with Shawn of the Dead to The World's End. I hope they make a few more of these.

"Is it bob?"
"No. Does bob look like the kind of person I would go out with?"
[Bob looks down in disappointment]
"..It's Dave"

"Hello there!"

Fun little fact: the girlfriend is a cameo by Cate Blanchett.

Love this movie. I think I'll watch it again tonight.

Timothy Dalton never fails to crack me up here. I'm a slasher...of prices.

I'll never forget the first time I saw this movie at the cinema.

It cut out half way through. Right when Sean Pegg was leaving the village. The picture just went black, no sound, the lights came on. Me and my buddy were like...what the fuck? What a boring ass movie!

The cinema gave us free tickets valid for 1 week, we almost didn't go back because it seemed so boring from the first half. SO glad we went back. The tonal shift from the first half to the second is incredible. The cinema blunder only heightened that shift for me. Great movie.

Everything pays off in this movie. Everything. It is so visually wonderful and so well written. One of the best comedies of all time, for sure.

And yes, Timothy Dalton is so fucking good in this.

This got me thinking about that scene, and I just realized that his final line during his introduction is "catch me later," foreshadowing the fact that Angel actually will 'catch' him later in the film.

It's a little thing, but it just shows how they squeezed every possible joke/reference/set-up into every corner of this movie.

Also Dalton is out of control in this, such a fun performance.

But I just saw that with my friend a couple of years ago

What do you mean, I haven't seen that guy in 7 years? I'm not old, you are.

Honestly thought it was even a tad bit older. I first saw it on DVD about 9 years ago after meeting a new friend who showed it to me.

Guess I have a reason to watch it for the 20th time.
Love this movie so much, and for me it doesn't have a lackluster moment in it. Paced so well.

Hot Fuzz is one of those films that just gets better every time I see it (usually every second Tuesday, on ITV 2).

World's End is the best of the trilogy though. Felt like I knew those guys in real life, before even watching the film. Brilliant characters and performances all round in that one, and Nick Frost gets the glory for a change.

Call me crazy, and I know this will be an unpopular opinion due to the love for this film displayed in this thread, but I was a little disappointed when it turned into an action comedy. I was really enjoying the whole "big city police officer in a sleepy little village" murder mystery. And then the guns came out... I'm not saying it was bad or anything. It was still pretty funny, but I was really enjoying it until that point. Same with the world's end until that bathroom fight scene.

But yes, Timothy Dalton was great.

SWAN!

While I initially liked Shaun of the Dead better (still might), Hot Fuzz has definitely grown on me more and more over the years, and I damn loved it when I first saw it.

Tried watching Bad Boys 1 once. Got bored of it pretty early in. Bad Boys 2 worth seeing without the first one?

I didn't watch the first one either. Al I can relate is my personal opinion which was that it was enjoyable for what it was.

Probably the best end-to-end movie experience I've ever had. A treat the whole way through. Damn I love this movie. Was just looking at the Blu-Ray 3 pack of this, Shaun of the Dead, and World's End on Amazon. $15 is tempting and I do need to own these.
