Well that was a yawn fest of an episode. The soap opera transition is getting boring.

It certainly was not a great season opener but it was not one of the worst episode of House. What I fear is that the season opener is exactly what you are going to get during the whole season. It's supposed to hook you and make you tune in next week. If this is like that the whole season then I think it's gonna be boring. I guess those obsessed with relationships will love it but it was not in my reason for watching House.

I think the makers of House know what the audience wants. This series has made it a trend lately to break the format for the premiere and the finale of each season, and in maybe 2-3 episodes within the season. I have confidence that the rest of the time, they'll be using the same formula they've always used, just with a little relationship tension thrown in to help grow House's character some more.

It was okay. I prefer House and his team stuff more than he and Cuddy stuff, though I've always had a thing for Lisa E. I think we saw 95% of her body, though I'm almost certain there was a couple shots that were digitally altered.

Is there a way to find out what songs were playing during the episode? Also, Cuddy kissing House's scar was crazy weird/hot. Like that Cronenberg movie Crash hot.

edit: Found song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liHaoDXNcmM

I liked that they finally changed the intro.

Mediocre opener but interesting ending. Hope it blossoms into an amazing season.

Everything I feared this premiere was gonna be, was dead on, and predictable... it was just a huge soap opera love story with a side case that was not even all THAT funny... some new character I don't give a fuck about... but glad 13 is gone.

After that episode, I have no real hope for the rest of the season, I suspect I will stop watching after this episode, or at least give another episode to redeem but that was just puke-inducing all the love shit between Cuddy and House. I imagined Huddy fans on the official forum practically having orgasms in real life to those moments in the episode *blech*

Chase and 13 relationship is meh. Only saving highlight of episode was Wilson's hilarious break-in attempt, and the Neuro-surgeon acting all high.

If you guys are Huddy fans, congratulations, you won every other ship war for real... so far looks like this was not all a hallucination.

I am pretty much done.

Overreaction much? As someone above said, they break with the usual formula for the premiere and the finale. The relationship stuff will be in the background for the rest of the season.

Exellent episode. The Chase/13 thing was already being foreshadowed last season. House/Cuddy was superb, i really don't get those fans that only want House and team solving a case every week and only have it be about that which is just plain boring shit, the cases are meaningless, they don't matter in the long run. For me it's about House as a humanbeing and as a person how he changes, evolves. And in this episode they confront that right off the bat, House will not change, he is who he is, the thing they are trying to figure out now is can they make it work. I think the real problem might be House being a father-figure for Cuddy's kid.

At the end of the episode he finally says it back to Cuddy, i think her response to him saying this wasn't gonna work was perfect. And that was what in the end made him secure enough to tell her. You have to remember that House never had a problem with loving women, the problem came for the betrayel said women do. One is a permanent reminder, his leg, which Cuddy very nicely kissed/healed/accepted this episode. The other was just last season, the woman he met at the rehab centre. Both times he's crazy in love and happy and both times said women cost him something dearly.

I agree, just like last season. The seasons opener were all about House(which i loved) after he got out of rehab we got the usual boring case every week interjected with a little bit of personal development. There is something for everyone.

People comparing it to 6x01 (Broken) are probably setting themselves up for disappointment.

"Broken" and "Three Stories", regardless of whether or not you actually like House as a show or any of the actors or characters, are probably the two best directed, composed, paced, written, and executed episodes of the series.

The premiere in itself was bad in comparison to previous House premieres, even without all the Huddy emphasis. The Huddy shit took up like 3/4 of what was going on. The side stuff was not interesting. The forced emo shit making House doubt the relationship felt shoe-horned to give hope the relationship would fall apart, and at the end, but it just was not convincing. They are going full-steam ahead with that storyline.

Nice episode, cant wait for more huddy action.

I seriously doubt that. It will still be there, but the cases week to week will still be the focus like usual. There has always been stuff sprinkled in with the cases on the side, but the cases have almost always been the focus and I just don't see them breaking the formula every week. Honestly, I thought it was an okay opener and nothing to write home about, but I think it served its purpose bridging what happened in the finale to beginning the new season. I'm a bit surprised by the general overall negativity... I still think there is good stuff to come.

Fucking YAWN.

This is like watching an expensive soap opera. The only people who find this sort of shit entertaining are old housewives who write twilight fan fiction.

I'm OUT.

I'm just not feeling it anymore, House. I'm sorry.

Pretty much this.

I was excited when I sat down to watch the episode. About halfway through, I reached for my laptop. That was about the end of it.

I nearly stopped watching the show back during season 5, then the first few episodes of season 6 were so good that they kept me going through the awful Huddy slog. I was about ready to jump ship again, but the season 6 finale was also fuck awesome.

Now, I'll probably keep watching, but really more of a background time waster kind of thing. I think the show has run its course.

I'm not out, but I agree with this post =|

I will watch this one,I want to give this show another chance, I've made it this far...but man... if I see too much Huddy kissin or more, I am bailin, end of story.

Holy shit. The mom? That's Flo, from the Progressive Insurance commercials.

And the patient chick is Allison Stoner who did Kairi and Xion's voice in that Kingdom Hearts DS game. She also does other Disney Channel crap I think.

Zzzzzzzzz this is boring :(

Oh no I can't make a rational decision because I'm sleeping with Cuddy. Let's do a complete episode on that. Transition to soap opera complete.

Cry moar. Jk

I do think the complaining about the show becoming a soap opera is becoming a soap opera itself.

my opinion is the story arcs are basically the same, the variation this season being house/cuddy instead of another relationship. Medical formula has been the exact same this episode. Humor has been the same.

but hey let's all wish for foreman/thirteen again because we all know how enjoyable that was right guys?

right?
