If you're like me, whenever you play with a controller of any kind your hands tend to get a bit sweaty, but even if you're not, dirt and dust can still get on the console often due to its handheld nature.

So how do you clean your Nintendo switch? I'm particularly asking due to the fact that sweat stains on the joycons is hard to get rid of

Any grit on the seams of controllers I typically take off with rubbing alcohol and a thin credit card, drying the excess with Q-tips. I haven't had to clean my Switch, JoyCons, or Pros yet, but honestly I haven't played it much since Zelda. Hopefully that will change with Mario.

Clean hands for the Joy-cons + microfiber w/ distilled water for the screen is all I've had to do for the first week and I'm pretty picky about this stuff. Will probably get a screen protector soon but still deciding which one I want. The Joy-cons though, it doesn't seem like I'll need to do anything beyond a wipe off with my fingers now and again.

Edit: This is with maybe a 50/50 split between handheld and docked, with docking being in a relatively dusty room where I clean the surface of my PS4 and PS3 fairly regularly.

Personally I just clean the screen from time to time. And when I don't play it, it stays in its protection case.

Id be careful with alcohol on that soft plastic, my experience is you dont want to use alcohol on soft plastic like, I use simple green or something that isnt as harsh

Mostly just by wiping the screen with my shirt hem - it seems like the screen is at least oleophobic so fingerprints wipe off easily.

Otherwise I try not to use my Switch, or its controllers, after eating food.

Giotto Rocket blower to blow dust off, a microfibre cloth to clean screen, another to clean controllers, and wash hands before use.

For some reason, it's hard to keep the back of the Switch clean. I don't know why but it always looks like I dunked my hands into a pot of frying oil and played with it afterwards and you can't really get that look away from the switch.

If it isn't wiping away it's probably just the matte finish worn down. The Switch and joy cons have a really delicate finish.

I just bought another Switch as a backup and was thinking of having one dedicated to travel and one just sitting at home.

I also bought a additional docks and dock extenders so I don't need to take it out of the case when I want to play on the T.V.
