Unity is an beautiful game. It really is. In educational mode, just walking through the landscape, it's stunning.Unity still shits over any AC games that came after it.
Truth be told the last 3 AC games haven't been graphically impressive at all.

i'm on an LG C8. what tweaks did you use on the HDR settings? i'm at default and looks pretty good, but always have in the back of my mind "is this the BEST it can look"?![]()
Valhalla is a Witcher 3 and GOW plagiarized project, most are not impressed after playing those two games.
BTW, screen tearing looks to be completely gone in PS5 from today's 1.10 patch, at least based in my experience in the Jorvik level. Pre-patch, this level had non-stop tearing in the middle of the screen and it was pretty horrid. Worse than any other level. Post patch I have seen no screen tearing at all. I think the jump from 1.04 to 1.10 brought some really good performance improvements. Game is smooth as butter and doesn't tear. Good patch!
I have to admit I only give a crap about AC after cyberpunk. Ubisoft managed to create a trilogy within 6 years and is able to to keep their core fan base happy. Meanwhile CDPR release one game filled with bugs and near non existent AI after 5.5 years. Same goes for Bethesda, starfield is about to hit 6 year development time frame and I highly doubt they will really push the gameplay experience much.
It seems Ubisoft's Way of making games should be copied for more developers so they won't be stuck at development hell as often and gamers don't have to wait so long for a flawed experience to see how the story progress.
I hope Ubisoft is looking at what Sucker Punch achieved with Ghost and figures out how to unbloat their open world games full of nothing side quests. Immortals was a step in the right direction but is still filled with tons of filler.
You said fight me, so..

Hard to be impressed by this next gen version of a cross-gen game with "way freaking better" looking games in the past one.
Given how Ghost of Tsushima in still frames loses 70% of it's strength, i'd say you are the lucky one on this one.

Ok, i just watched the DF analysis against the PC version and i have to admit i exaggerated before, LOD at least on PS5 is nothing like what i saw in that NXGamer video, which in fact mostly shown SS and SX footage. And damn, the PS5 version in general is quite surprising running at basically all max settings and just for the price of a lower dynamic resolution and cloth physics animations displayed at lower frames, and that foliage density advantage makes it the version to pick regardless to me. Now i just hope i'll like the game..The LOD is "fine" on xsx in quality mode where it targets 30 FPS, but completely falls apart when trying to hit 60 FPS. Flickering, stuttering, awful pop in of every asset. It's awful.
Ps5 on the other hand is almost indistinguishable in quality and performance. And it tears much much less than the xsx version too. Even after the patch. All the face offs are not done far enough in the game. I'm comparing like 20 hours in (thank god for cross platform save, makes it easy)
Here your highness, as you command no sun in frame not even reflected in water, nor bright lights:What's up with all the sunshine pics or bright lights with this and OP pics. Am I supposed to be impressed with some washed out sun rays? Is that mandatory for good graphics?

I'd say Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed: Unity are the only ones which truly looked great (meaning better than competition), rest have been good but nothing special. Anvil Engine always had awful LOD management even on PC, especially on the older titles, and ACII characters models were absolutely disgraceful for that time (i LOVE that game btw) and been subpar ever since, with the only exception of Unity. All Assassin's Creed games have looked great. That's one thing Ubisoft cares about.
Of course, horse coat rendering, animations and handling in GoT are top notch, really the only horses i've been able to enjoy after playing RDR2.Maybe some screenshots are okay but character movement and fighting, horse animations just don't live up to Ghost to me.
Just in time, perfection.new update added trigger suppor
I love the side mission structure the best out of any open world. Not too much go bring me this. The quest usually take place where you find them. Did you play the one where youhave to burn down a couples house so they can get off on it?
Talk about extremely cringy.
I'm on the Sony X900H and a PS5 so it should look better for you. But I agree. For me I have to trade amazing looking daytime with a bit muddy nighttime or vice versa. Went for daytime and ok nighttime. As I don't have a oled I went with the Sony config of HDR but if you do make sure to go one step beyond visible.
