How come there never was a Star Wars stealth game?

This is a thread about Star Wars. Leave Sam Fisher and his three neon lightbulbs out of it please.

Well now we're talking about Cardassians, and my avatar doesn't approve of that.

Anyway, I want one. I want a stealth-based Star Wars game. The truth of the matter is, devs typically stick to the biggest, most crowd-pleasing guns when it comes to licensed content, and I can't say as I blame them. I'm still far and away (heh) most hyped for Amy Hennig's project at Visceral, though, and I'm hopeful the lead character sneaks around and platforms a fair bit, like a certain someone else she's written.

goldeneye 2010 remake came out. the totally viable stealth route was well received. Game also sold pretty damn well for a wii 3rd party (probably due to the name).

That's cool. I had no idea.

I'm hopeful EA plays its cards right on this ten-year deal it's made and offers a fairly diverse interactive Star Wars experience. I want a stealth game, I want a few story-driven games, I want a few ace dogfighting games, I want an RPG. I want a lot because I love space opera like nobody's business and historically the only space opera franchise that ever stands a chance of going big in gaming is Star Wars.
