How dangerous is Australia really? India?

I never thought India was that dangerous, again its where you are. There are some tourist locales where monkeys will steal your shit tho. I've been to some temples where they had snake charmers which was cool (20 yrs ago tho). Also stayed overnight in my dad's village where I saw the biggest goddamn rat (skewed memories from being 10 yrs ago tho!)

Two words: River Ganges.

It is why I will never go to India.

There's a shame, because as much as you can concentrate on the decay and filth of the ghats, the rich cultural and spiritual atmosphere brought about by the river is an experience you're robbing yourself of.

India's a fantastic place. As soon as I left highschool, I went backpacking through India and it remains one of the most interesting and thought-provoking countries on the planet. From the Rajasthani fortress cities to the Kerala backwaters and Kochin, the highland tea plantation town of Ooty, the wonderful sights in Varanasi...

Certainly, it can be a challenging place sometimes - the poverty primarily - but it's a varied and historic journey for anyone.

that tiger gif is fucking nuts.

edit: i have lived in australia since i was 8 (i am almost 24) and have seen spiders 3540953453094 times and a snake twice.
