"How did this get past development," or examples of bad shit in games

Both of the System Shock games have really weird soundtracks, too, considering the mood they're going for.

Yeah, that would've been my second complaint. Haven't played the first one yet (waiting for the remake), and SS2 has some great eerie soundtracks dripping with atmosphere, but others are just -well- bombastic cyberpunk songs that I didn't find fitting for the sense of isolation they portrayed otherwise excellently.

pUZZles were fine from what I played.
Armikrog's bugs etc. are indeed disappointing but what time I put into the game so far I've enjoyed it.

Upgrades do not necessarily mean dealing more damage, for the most part you earn abilities that allow you to take out enemies faster, there's also for example, the dodge counter headshot. One other upgrade is to increase the gauge so that you reach higher levels you deal more damage.
Did you play on Easy or Normal or Hard? Cuz lower difficulties aren't a good way to judge it through.

Furthermore if you beat a game without using upgrades, that'd be a plus, meaning the game can be beaten with bare minimum stats

Well, fair points. I played it on Normal so I suppose that's that. Will give it another go on Hard and Very Hard to see the difference (minimal upgrades vs maxing everything out). I literally survived by dodging and countering.

Holding or tapping a button to run - makes me mad i both R* games and the W3. Its fine for platformers just no where else. Theres an analogue stick for a reason...

Holding isn't so bad but tapping a button like Rockstar games, burn in hell. RDR was a pain in the arse.
