How do you feel about Panda Express?

I've only ever seen Panda Express in airports, malls, and college student unions. I had no idea there were stand-alone stores. I've never tried it because I'm not to keen on food that has been sitting under a heat lamp for unknown lengths of time.

Used to absolutely LOVE it. Could eat entire serving of fried rice with two sides.

After a ~4 year gap between visits, I went back ...man it was godawful

I hate the veggie they mix in and it makes them different tasting than actual Chinese takeout independent restaurants in a bad way

I like the really generic style of Chinese takeout that most of the little independent places have and Panda Express isn't quite like that. They're a slightly different style and it's not as good imo. Their meals are around the same price as the independent restaurant lunch specials, so I opt for the non-Panda style. I just prefer the more iconic generic stuff over the Pana version even though theirs is fine.

I enjoy the meats more than most other 'chinese' take out style places, probably due to freshness. They do orange chicken better than everyone else.

The fried rice and chow mein are absolutely terrible though. That is the case in all of these types of places though.

I think overall Panda Express is as good as or better than most $1 Chinese food style spots.

Chinese food that is somehow worse than even the worst of all the dozens of Chinese places I've been to in my life.

Gotten Panda express 3 times, 3 diffrerent dishes, 3 plates of goopy trash.

It all tastes delicious and I feel no shame in eating it once every 2-3 months.

Chinese food in general is loaded with additives that aren't good for you, singling out Panda Express because it's "unhealthy" is just hypocritical if you go on about loving "authentic" chinese food not to mention any mainstream fast food restaurants in general.

I've had exactly the opposite experience. I had it during college, and then a 9 year gap. The place I had it in was brand new and it was much more like Chipotle then fast food. It was delicious.

Was at the mall this morning so ended up ordering some broccoli beef and orange chicken. Cashier tried to forget my soy sauce.

It's good but it's something you only eat if you're in a mall and you don't want to leave to eat.

Last time I was there was about 2 years ago. I ordered some kind of breaded spicy shrimp. I forgot the name but it was actually pretty dang good.

When I worked in a mall I would eat there and Chick-fil-a all the time on my lunch break. I have no problem with Panda Express.

It's alright, but none of the ones in my area have a drive-through so I don't think of it as fast food. It's more like a equivalent of a Subway for fake Chinese food or something.
