Well considering Halo 3 will probably be shown at GC this week.. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some direct feed of the campaign or new multiplayer maps.

Gah! No new info! I'm going to build a Halo-proof shield around me for the next few weeks. I've done a damn good job of hiding from Bioshock (saw an E3 demo in '06 and haven't heard much since... except for the 10/10 scores) and I will do the same for Mass Effect as well. These games are too good to know anything about them.

Oh, and Galaxy. Too much talk about Galaxy. I don't want to know about any more suits or crazy worlds until November.

there's something about nostalgia that makes people say stupid things that are clearly wrong and that they can't take back. this happens with just about every XBL game too-- "OMG Double Dragon!!1 This is the best fucking game ever!!" 1 week later: "hmm, this hasn't aged well." "OMG!! Marathon!! This is the best fucking game ever!!!" 1 week later: "Ugh, I'm feeling sick..." "OMG Time Pilot!!!" and so on.

I was predominantly a Genesis gamer through most of that gen.

I also missed out on Super Metroid. This release on VC has been a godsend to someone that's always wanted to play it, but never wanted to pay the costs for the cartridge. And I've never been a ROM player. It just feels wrong to me.

Good week for those of us that like to live in the past.
