How is Diablo 3 on consoles?

Gay porn is where it's at.
i just found an xbox 360 version for $1, i never played the series but heard it's primarily for PC, are the controls good enough? also i am gonna play this completely offline i am not gonna miss out on anything right?

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I actually prefer the controls on the console version to the PC. Inventory management is a bit more of a pain, but that's the only real downside (and even then, it's not terrible).

Playing offline should be fine, the only thing you'll really miss out on are the seasonal rewards. Depending on your situation, you might want to find a way to connect temporarily to get all the patches and such because the game is a bit more rough without them.

Enjoy! The game is definitely worth $1.

Game isn't bad on console but it's definitely a PC-first kind of game. Console versions have a offline mode however as a result there's rampant cheating online which kind of ruins the online mode. X360/PS3 versions are missing a lot of content though as they never got patched beyond the initial Reapers of Souls expansion release (game you got might not even include the expansion if it's the regular D3 release).

A lot of people love the controls, but i found it made playing a lot of the builds I used on PC really difficult. basically, anything that requires you to quickly and accurately target spells is a huge pain in the ass to play.

As far as offline goes, the console versions are fine. The hacking that has occurred on the console versions makes the game worthless in online play, though. As it’s been mentioned, try to get the balance tweaks and patches before heading permanently offline though

Awesome game.

Looks and plays fantastic on consoles. Even the base 360 game is smooth 60 fps.

If you like the game, look into the DLC content with the crusader, extra modes and content.......... although I'm not sure how it works. Sometimes Activision's free updates might already cover it. Adventure Mode, Torment Level Mode etc...

Confusing as there's been a few different versions of Diablo 3 on consoles.

On PC you are always connected to the servers even when playing solo so you always have ping/ms lag where as the console version lets you play completely offline so it feels so much more responsive and smooth. the controls is preference but i feel like controller is more chill/less effort but sacrifices some accuracy.

I remember playing D3 when it first came out on PC, back then Blizzard didnt have Australian servers and i had to endure playing at 250-350ms. Nowadays they have have Aus servers and its typically around 60-90 for me.

There are 2 versions on 360. The one without the expansion (which I would avoid) and the Reaper of Souls one.
The expansion brings way too much elements to the game. That said, there is still more content if you are able to play the ps4/xone version of it.

I really enjoy playing it on Switch, to be honest.

It's fun and for 1 dollar? Can't go wrong at all. Does the 360 have the Reaper of Souls version? That's the better one with the 5th chapter expansion. But find a character, maybe find a build if you like a certain path or playstyle, and just enjoy mashing stuff until they die and be ready to collect all the loots.

It's really good. Controls are easy to get used to and the console seems to be able to handle all those mobs and flashy graphics when you're surrounded without much trouble. I have the PS4 version. I dunno what the 360/PS3 is like.

I actually prefer the controls on console. The only bad thing is the amount of hackers online on console, but if you're playing offline you'll be fine. Enjoy.

Coincidence, playing it right now. Can't believe the amount of stuff happening on the screen without slowdown. It becomes insane at times.

Having played both version for over 100 hrs a piece, they have done an admiral job adapting it to console . The UI is not as nice as the PC version or the controls as precise but it is great in it's own rite

I've played both versions extensively. PC version is by far better than console. Biggest issue is that a lot a lot of skills on PC dont work the same on console and as a result a lot of builds don't work on console. Next biggest thing is item inventory and inventory management straight up sucks on console.

Console does have a couple advantages over PC. Some skills have a cooldown and on PC you can't hold down whatever key you have the skill mapped to and have it refresh after it comes off cooldown. You need a macro for that. On console you just keep the button depressed and the skill will refresh as soon as it comes off cooldown. The second is multi skill spamming. On PC, for the most part you can only cast one skill at a time, even if that skill has no animation. On console, it's not as strict about that so do some pretty cool skill spamming that isn't possible on PC.

That being said, if you dont play on PC or only play casually, you will prolly not know what you are missing and still have a great time with the game.

Is this game a mash, loot and win? Genuinenly asking cos I heard it being compared to Dynasty Warriors and we all know how that game works.

It's really excellent, controls are basically perfect on consoles and you don't need online for this game. You can play in co-op and the game is really enjoyable, the best of its kind on consoles. It's also 60fps (stable on current gen, less stable on PS360).

I enjoyed it alot. The console version of torch light 2 is also really good if you're looking for another diablo like game for consoles.

The controls are amazing.

I highly, highly recommend that you find a way to connect to the servers to get the patches tho.

Also, does that 1$ include reaper of souls? (that would be the expansion they released fixing a lot of the game's design issues).

From what I remember it's better than PC at least originally for a couple of reasons. One was it didn't launch with a cash store. Secondly click-to-move controls are counterintuitive to everything god made hands for. It feels so bad to me. I tried it on Path of Exile on PC....went right back to glitchy ass X1X version. It's that bad.

Played in PC back at initial release and then on PS4 last year. I found the console controls to be great, even inventory management which is a bit clunky works fine.

I'm not familiar with the 360 version but if it's anything like the other console versions it should be perfectly fine offline. Especially if you got friends for local Co-op, that shit's awesome.

If you've never played any Diablo games you'll be absolutely fine with D3 on consoles. Go for it.

Yeah it's a forevergame. I enjoyed it on PC for the first year then shelved it for many years. Picked it up again on Switch and so far I've sunk about 600 hours into it across multiple characters. Feels like a successor to Gauntlet with the classic Diablo loot mixed in. Pure arcade carnage combined with neurotic RPG loot-hunting.
