For the peoples who don't own a PC that is the common sence.
What do you expect? That your Xbox360 is more power than your Desktop PC for this moment, and you want it to be quiet just like the cartigde based console??

My PC with AMD processor does make noise almost equaly as my Xbox360.
Just don't turn off the sound of your Tv or sound device while you are playing.

So stop bagging. Nothing but whining

Loud for a console, but I never notice it when I'm playing. Unfortunately, I dont think the PS3 will be much quieter. Then again, I wouldn't mind being wrong.

Hmm, when the PS2 came out it was more poweful then my PC, yet not as noisy. WTF was wrong with my PC?
Edit: Actually, since I switched out my fans for decent not 5 cent fans, my computer currently is quieter then my 360.

Also, anybody who uses the word "Quiet" and "Xbox 360" in the same sentence is full of shit.
In the dashboard its tollerable, and comparable to a PS2 or Xbox, but start up a game and geeze! (What did you say? I just started up Ridge Racer)

It was fairly loud when I first got it. Strangely enough it seems to have gotten quieter and cooler. The former could just be me getting used to it, but certainly not the latter.
