How many eggs does your household go through per day (week)?

Eh. Sometimes I eat eggs when I visit my parents, but that's pretty much about it. I'm only buying some when I need to bake something, which is not happening quite often. Never thought about buying some for myself, even though I do like an egg for breakfast...

Anyway, for some reason I always had in mind that eating more than a handful of eggs a week isn't healthy. Looking at this thread, I guess that's wrong.

I eat maybe a dozen or so eggs a year. Not really a fan of modern egg production, and the vast majority of egg labels are flat out lies. So I just generally avoid eggs. That will change when we move into our new house and can keep a few chickens in the backyard.

I haven't eaten eggs for about 9 months. When I did eat them it was usually 4 eggs and scrambled for breakfast every Sunday.

About 15 per week. I get a 30 pack for 2 weeks. Scramble about 6-8 for breakfast occasionally, use 2-3 for baking over the course of a few weeks. Sometimes have some other recipes that pull eggs from scrambling.

I eat eggs for breakfast only two times a week so only four eggs. But I'm not counting other food that may contain egg in it.

I usually eat two cooked eggs if I have time for breakfast, so I'd say 10 per week. How can some of you eat 6+ eggs per day for breakfast, do you only eat the eggs and nothing else?

I had that nugget with me for AGES before it came up conversation ("Isn't eating too many eggs bad for you?"). Turns out it's not really an issue.

We cook up a whole whack of them for brunch on weekends.

I usually have a piece of toast and maybe some yogurt or something else on top of the 6-7 eggs. If I only have eggs my stomach might feel sort of funny. I need something a little more solid in addition to eggs to keep my stomach settled.

frittatas are incredible

just keep a bunch of frozen veggies on hand, saute them up crack the eggs and bake for a few minutes

super easy

I guess I never realized just how many eggs some people eat on a daily basis. The idea of 4-6 eggs a day is insane to me. Our house goes through maybe a dozen a week, but I think my wife eats most of those.

I look at eggs like a breakfast treat once in a blue moon, so I probably eat them 1-2 times a month. As in, scrambled, fried, etc.

Too lazy to make eggs for breakfast usually, but if we include dinner etc ... 5 eggs per person per week I think

Too lazy to make eggs? It has to be like the easiest and quickest breakfast item that involves heat.

Ain't nobody got time for that on weekdays. Cereals -> Milk or Bread->Butter->Cold cut/cheese/jam

Basically if it's not ready to eat in less than a minute I don't bother with it during weekdays. Love soft boiled eggs or sunny-side eggs on the weekend though.

0, gross. You know chickens lay eggs out of their asshole, right?

you know that you are a fucking pussy if that grosses you out right? you are a human, you have kgs of shit inside of you and you shit brown goo out of your ass every day. a lot of things that you touch every day have shit particles on them, your hands probably have shit on them right now, fucking grow up.

You can microwave eggs. Great in a hurry.

I think he was joking.

I buy the 36 pack (2 x 18) from Costco. I eat probably 24 a week on my own. If my girlfriend asks for some on some days then bump that to 30.

50/50 fat, protein, low carb, micronutrients. If you're into it, tastes good and can be cooked many different ways, added to many dishes. That's how it's possible to eat lots of eggs consistently.

I don't really understand people who don't eat eggs for breakfast. What do you eat? Tons and tons of bread/some other grain-based meal?

I used to love eggs when I was younger but now whenever I eat them they makes me sick as sin I feel sick afterwards since then I don't eat them as often, I use 2 per week to cook my favorite receipt.
