It sold about 2.4 millionThe NES Classic sold 1.5 million and could easily have tripled that if there were more out there. I'm going with 6-8 million for the SNES Classic as what it could do with no issue.
I wouldn't mind it if they were announcing plans to bring any of this stuff to Switch outside of their plans to maybe-someday add it to the library that Nintendo Network subscribers get access to.
As it is you feel pressured to buy this limited-run box if you want to play a (legit) version of StarFox 2, that'll take up space on my gaming shelf.
Honestly? At $80 and that quality of games? I could easily see the SNES Classic Edition doing 5-10 million in sales. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

It's possible it won't be as bad this time...maybe.
NES Classic sold in 2.3 million units before production ended (demand was nowhere to be satisfied).Couple of million maybe, as the upper limit i think.

Mock me if you want, but this exact pattern unfolded with Amiibo. Short-stocked by retailers (because toys-to-life had flatlined), bought up in a frenzy, restocks bought up by scalpers, and now the market has leveled out.

Less than whatever the NES classic would have managed if not cut short. The NES sold better than the SNES and as a result there's more nostalgia for it.
Probably flipping ones that cost $150-200, he's selling them for $350. o_ohow does a seller have over a hundred of them?
