How Nervous Are You of Getting Perma Banned?

What are some of the funniest bans you've encountered?

Scullibondo for calling Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker a cunt was gold.
 
Gaming side seems like a huge trap so anytime I go into sales age has me slightly on edge. I've never run into trouble yet but sometimes I'll see a thread full of banned accounts and think that more of a few of them were unfair because the mod did it just to make a point.

Based on my ban history, I guess I should be more nervous.

Everyone's time on GAF comes to an end, I'd rather not post in fear of the unknown when the known is so full of trolls and people who are wrong.
 
It happened with my first account, than I went to university, got a new non-free email and joined again.

That was like 3-4 years ago.

I made a joke about an MS employee killing himself because of gaf. The guy who called out a user asking him what he contributed to society.

I dodged a bullet once a long time ago.

Somebody created a really weird thread talking about some nasty ass fetish he had and just as I was about to post a reply I got distracted. When I came back I apparently had another thread tabbed over and tabbed over to that thread accidentally and started posting my reply totally unaware of my mistake: "You're pretty fucking gross, dude."

Before I hit "post" I caught myself. I was about to post that in a poster's coming out thread.

Been perma-d a few times before, albeit a long time ago. Thankfully a few mods had gracious hearts and let me join again. However, I was assigned with a tag that greatly diminishes my capability to do what I do. I feel like a character from Ovid's Metamophoses...

And I can't even count the number of times I've been banned for wading in the gaming forum. Was also banned for posting a derogatory remark about a mod on another forum.
 
Don't fuck up and you won't get permabanned, simple as that. I came close, once, though. The mods granted me a reprieve and only gave me three months. Bless you, based mods!

I was about to say! I've been through three enforced (well deserved, each of them) as well as one requested (needed some time to get my shit together).
 
I'm not actively worried about getting banned but I do redo a lot of my posts because people on GAF tend to get easily offended.
 
I am zero amount nervous about it. Ingrained in my head is an image of Bish when I'm about to make a stupid or inflammatory post. I've been to GAF purgatory, I've made it from JR and back, and it's not somewhere I want to return to.

I think I've been banned twice. Maybe three times. I can't remember what they were for, except one was for implying that someone's weird behavior was an indicator of autism. It wasn't as nicely worded as that, though.
 
I'm always concerned about it. Especially in gun threads where I don't typically tow the line. I just try to be respectful and know when not to take troll bait.

I'll probably get banned a few more times, but I don't think I'll ever do something bad enough to merit getting perma-banned. I self filter most of my posts. I think about 60% of my posts actually make it to me clicking submit.
 
One thing's for sure: I am going to avoid every controversial thread in off-topic that reeks of religious, sexist, inhuman or racist discussions.

The fact that sometimes my emotions can catch me off guard doesn't help me at all.
 
not at all? I've been here for so long and racked up way too many posts and have never been banned. just don't post like an idiot.
