Honestly whenever I'm measuring my height for the hope of growth whenever it hits me that I'm the lower half of five foot the measurement depends on how much confidence I want to give myself for the day.

I don't think I've ever given myself a definitive measurement. It sucks the hope out of it.

It's about the same as being 6'1" but with less back problems as you age.

I'm 17 and 5'6, and i'm curious about how short that is. It has recently come to my attention that 5'6 is short for a guy, and i'm wondering how much shorter is it than the average. I also live in the United States, if where you are born makes a difference.

I'm 6'4", so anything below 6'2" for a guy is short of me. For girls, anything below 5'8-9" is short

My fiancee is about 5'10" and a ballet/ballroom dancer. So you can imagine how I feel next to her when she has her heels on for dance.

Don't mind being 5'6" too much. Amazing how easy it is to slip through crowds of people and barely get noticed. So there's that. But I feel like I have to be calm and relaxed all the time so I don't get accused of "short man syndrome".

I have no statistics to back up that statement. I just grew up on the border and moving to a whiter city has shown me how short I really am.

That sounds about right. I'm 5'10 or 5'11 and everyone tells me I'm tall. I think I'm the 3rd tallest in the family. Only guys that beat me out are my cousins who are brothers. The oldest one is 6'4" and the youngest is 6'2".


But yeah, I think 5'6 is kind of short.
