How to delete stuff on PC

OP is offline, so I'm guessing he's in jail by now.
If a girl in a porn downloaded from shady dark web sites doesn't look like she's 18, then she probably isn't.
Lesson here kids, don't download porn from shady websites.

You can't clean it, that's not effective in reality.
What you need to do is to put a fresh windows on it.
Download Rufus
https://rufus.ie/
Download windows 10
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/
You need a usb stick drive, 8 gb minimum.
Use rufus to make a bootable usb drive with that iso file you downloaded from Microsoft.
After it's done, go into bios and boot from that usb drive and proceed with the installation.
Format the whole hard drive(s), install windows, put some drivers or use the default ones that windows provides, although I don't reccomend this.
That's pretty much it.

On my mobo it's f12 to access the boot selection.
But if you have older hardware it might not have that. If it doesn't have an option to select from where you wanna boot from then you'll have to do it the old fashion way.
By re arranging booting devices in bios. If it's a really old school mobo you might have to install it with a dvd drive. But I'm guessing it's not that old.

I think you can still get a free upgrade to W10 if you care about that. Google it, I think there's a way. Might as well get an SSD while you are at it.

Up until last week windows 10 activated even on pirate copies of windows.

So a OEM one would have been fine probably OP.

Now that windows 7 support ended last week, I don’t know if you can get that free upgrade anymore.

You can neglect to activate the Windows 10 license and it'll still work just fine.

Did you not get this solved yet? Google how to install Windows 10 fresh from USB and you'll be fine.

For some reason, that windows tool doesn't work for me.
And also, Rufus is much faster.

I use to disconnect the hdd and do the entire process with WintoHDD on another pc. That way, you don't even have to hassle with bootable pendrive, bios, usb slow ass transfer etc.

Just open the program, select the ISO and job's done 5 min later.

Is It true that Police can find deleted files like in the movies?
Do you think that even deleting softwares don't erase all on purpose for the Police?

BadBurger

Is 'That Pure Potato'
Use powershell

Change Explorer settings so you can see your recycling bin. Delete them

That's it aside from scrubbing the drive while booted into another env

When you delete stuff of your computer all you are doing is making the location of that item on the HDD platter disappear but it still exists that’s how police and some software are able to retrieve it.

There only 2 ways to permanently delete stuff is to either destroy the HDD or write over the data on the platter.

In the old days the bios had a low level format option that would read/write/delete across the entire platter to permanently delete any data on the HDD but mobo manufacturers don’t put it in there now. The process could also take a day to complete and would reveal bad sectors on the HDD.

So once something’s on your system, it’s pretty much on there permanently until you install an entirely new HDD? What if the OS has been reinstalled numerous times? Or what about using something like file shredder?

It is on there unless it was overwritten by another bit. When you delete something it just deletes the link to the file, freeing the space for use for another file, but there is no guarantee that the OS will use that same exact space again anytime soon. There are utilities that will will write over every single bit of an HDD numerous times to ensure that nothing can be recovered.

The data only exists until that part of the platter is over written with new data. Reinstalling a new OS will only permanently delete the data which is written onto that part of the HDD platter where the os is installed.

So if you have data on sectors 1024-2024 that you need to destroy permanently you would have to fill up the HDD until that part of the platter has been over written with new data.

deleting a folder in windows only removes the location of where that data is held on the HDD platter.

Software like file shredder would find the location of where the data is on the platter then write over that part then remove it again which would permanently delete all data on that part of the platter making it unrecoverable.

Reputable computer recycling firms use a special machine that constantly writes onto customers HDD many times over to remove all the data from the drive or they use a hydraulic press to crush the platter.
