i recognize a great multitude of posters here, and largely the ones that tend to stick with me are the ones who go out of their way to type up posts with substance that are well thought out and reasoned. naturally it also helps when their interests intersect with my own (television, movies, food, cooking, etc.).

i generally just scroll through a thread and only read 30% of the posts (and 30% of the posts is generous--there's a lot of junk being thrown out in every thread on every message board), but i always stop to read posts by these people, off the top of my head:

- scribble
- theblackfalcon
- jarrod
- cornballer
- solo
- jarosh
- cloudwalking
- stumpokapow
- jiggy
- crowphoenix
- lawblob
- haunted
- y2kev

Almost unknown, am new, not to many posts, generally don't participate in discussion I hit and run post often, my avatar doesn't stand out even I miss it when scanning threads, my name ain't nothing special, I've no epic posts to my name and I don't really participate in anything other then main board discussion.

I think I recognize way too may people on this forum though, especially considering its size. I can scan through this thread and go like 10 posters before I find someone I genuinely don't recognize. I should gaf less.

You're not wrong, but the fact that more people live in or near those large cities you mention is obviously going to affect the teams people root for. pollo and I are both from NY, you want us to root for Kansas City?

I read plenty of baseball sites, but I participate in the GAF baseball threads because I like the people in the thread. Obviously you don't.

I've never understood why people don't resize their avatars. The script that does it on Gaf (or any place that does this) makes them look awful.
Hell, in this case it looks like he didn't even rehost the avatar so unless it's his site, if the guy deletes it, notices someone leeching it and replaces it, or adds an anti-hotlinking script, losing his avatar would be the least of his problems.
