How well known/recognised are you on Gaf?

I recognize heaps of avatars, and quite a few posters and their posting "style". I think I'm pretty low-key though, don't post all that often, and go for short, sharp posts rather than long narratives. I have to admit, I am sometimes guilty of the ":lol :lol That's hilarious!" post.

I can see that... I like making fun of those teams though so it's not too much of a hassle for me. The other problem is that most of the statheads are usually on the same page with each other on issues so the only discussion that really takes place is eviscerating the silly things non-statheads say.xbhaskarx said:

I'm going to guess that I'm fairly under the radar, despite my best efforts to be a quality contributor.
I've noticed that people who make threads often are most likely the most recognizable.
The only time I don't recognize someone is when they haven't posted for years or they are new, and they stick out to me as foreign when I can't peg their username or avatar.
I spose I recognize just about everyone in the OT that I've been in the same thread with. Recognize at least that they exist. Whether or not I remember their personality or posting habits is another story.

I think I'm a virtual unknown (pardon the pun). I purposely don't really mix in with any debate that's going on (both on the Gaming side and OT). I've never felt comfortable doing that anyway, not even on messageboards. But I'm fine with that, I don't feel the need to put myself in the spotlight.

specially the posters I like, like btk, blackace, koshiba, zoku88, scribble, rezbit, rewrite, amishnazi, halycon, timedog, aeana, sporks... etc... the list goes on, I love these forums tbh.

Rewrite, yep! You and Scarlett are the reason I'm still using the cube-a-tar. Although I think Scarlet hates me now because I was kinda being an ass about the usage of a headset while playing online gaming in a gaming thread :lol

Well, I stop and pop in most threads. Most of my replies are pretty succinct although I have a feeling a I post in a manner that is sometimes esoteric in all the wrong ways (in terms of it being e-soteric as opposed of esoteric. I'd say my only regular thread is College Football, maybe NBA, and I'm good for most threads, at least for a comment or two. Also, I know the people in this thread I recognize, probably, to an extent recognize me (if not for posting, then my avatar).
In terms of other's noteriety, I know a reasonable amount of people by avatar and such, and I tend to actually read their posts more regularly (if I'm scrolling) for this reason.
The other people I notice are the one's that make bad threads, or simply come to the party with bad taste in any subjective artistic medium thread.

I've always just imagined that all of the mods had a master list of usernames with adjectives and anecdotes about everyone, or were taking notes directly onto our accounts in some field that was only viewable to mods/admins.sp0rsk said:
