Holy carp. My best buy order has shipped.

Ordered a 16GB on SUN, 6:55 AM Central, free standard shipping.

Order status showed "Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in null - null days"

Just received my shipping confirmation email with tracking info.

Hells yes.

Have hopes for me! FUCK.

I hope to get their email soon we ordered at nearly the same time. 32GB version..

If OnSale actually gives preference to people who selected overnight shipping, regardless of where they are in the queue.... that's unspeakably shitty.

In other words, every extra cent OnSale can skim off the top gets preference, not who ordered first.

I think it's a system thing. If someone picks "next day" the system automatically puts them at the top of the que. All other orders have a leeway of 3 or so days to ship.

Not really. You have to minimize the impact to your seller rep.

1) Minimize the order times. Seems like a 20 minute window
2) Cancel orders for more than 1
3) People who paid extra for faster shipping
4) Fill whatever you can after they are complete
5) Throw the dart at who to choose.
6) Profit!

Filled in #5 for you.

So, uh, Best Buys here in Texas get trucks in today it looks like.

Touchpad restocks may be on that truck.

Got tipped by a friend today. Just got back to work with my new 16gb. Watch this shit be dead or something. Lol

Anyway
Fuck BB (online)
Fuck Onsale

My hp order went from pending charge to charged on my bank account.
Does that mean it went through and shipped?
My hp account still says item processing.
Same thing happened to me yesterday but my order status is still showing up as item being processed so who knows. I ordered Friday night through the education store right after the deal went live.

Better hope not. "Smart Buy" means no refunds or returns. sold "As is" only.

Or to make your house a Star Trek house. Pads in every room. Use the empty boxes to make a fort.

Onsale delivered for me! :) One question though.. is the app store not working for the touchpad?

Could you check your email to see when your amazon confirmation email was sent? Also, did you do next day shipping?

Amazon UK has reduced the price to £249. What's the point? It won't sell

I managed to get one in with Currys.

Gah, I should have asked you to get me one :(

HP Customer Call recording says:

If you placed you order before Monday 4 AM CST then you will get your orders fulfilled. All other orders received after will be cancelled.

It doesn't say if it's just HP Home or both Home and SMB.

I sure hope it's SMB included. Then I finally get one.

Good news for you guys, sucks for me...I was busy ordering nonexistent TPs from Barnes & Noble Sunday night.

I would bet good money that they'll have to divert the rumored "additional shipments" to those orders in order to cover everybody. In other words, I bet nothing more is coming from HP.com.

The only way I can see my OnSale order time is through my confirmation e-mail. 2:22PM PST. Christ. I thought I did it sooner.

I did 1 day shipping, so we'll see..

Yeah, that's what I'm saying that would be my luck. Lol

And I couldn't get any extras. Wanted one for my mom, but one per customer. They were checking receipts and shit and I didn't want my friend to get fired since he tipped me off.

When I call the number on my email confirmation:
1-877-231-4351

there is an automated response before you get to wait to speak to a CSR that says the following:
- Received high volume of orders over the weekend
- They are currently processing these orders
- If you ordered from HP you will receive an order confirmation in your email within 24-72 hours (I hope that would be the same confirmation email I received!!)
- They are out of stock of Touchpads (weird that they would add this to the message - I guess to prevent further orders?)

And then you can choose to wait to speak to CSR if you want...

This is from ordering on HP's Canadian store.

My order status has remained unchanged at "Admin" level...
Money for the $500+ amount (so far a non-discounted 32GB version) has been set aside on my credit card but not officially charged yet.

Cheers!

Amazon never sent me anything besides the order confirmation. In fact, in the website it still shows as Shipping Soon. I did get the fastest shipping though, it was only 10 bucks so I went for it.

EDIT: I think I misread your post. If you were just talking about the order confirmation then Amazon sent it right away. 4:34PM Central time. 8-21-11. :)

I've been admin/processing for the past 3 days now. No change, nothing! D:

Well Bryna said they have no more stocks on SMB and are not getting new inventory period. So may not be a good news to us either. She did specify new inventory are diverted to HP Home.

Just got an email from HP saying that due to overwhelming demand they haven't been able to ship my touchpad on time. It also says that they expect all units to be shipped by Thursday.

Just got this e-mail. Scared the crap out of me until I actually read it.

Thank you for your purchase of the HP TouchPad. Due to the overwhelming demand for this product as a result of the significant price reduction, we were unable to ship your recent order with our usual promptness. We expect that all units will be shipped by Thursday August 25, 2011 and you will receive delivery of your TouchPad on the appropriate date after that given the shipping option you selected at the time you placed your order.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Be the first to know when your unit ships by clicking here for your order status.

We hope you will give us at the HP Home & Home Office Store the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

I called US customer support line and they say the same thing with added mention of orders before 4 AM CST on Monday being fulfilled while any orders created after will be canceled. I just wish they specified whether it was for all orders or for HP home or SMB.

For those in US, simply call 866 625 0242 and choose option 3 and you will hear the recording after they tell you to wait 24 minutes.

I get so many people asking me if we have the tablet at Target :(

Oh well I guess I wont be able to really find one besides resellers and not interested in spending 200+. Might as well get a different tablet once I start going up in that price.

still nothing from hp ( 1 order on sunday and one yesterday) and onsale. am i getting at least one?

That's what mine says too and I assumed (after research) that it means I'm not getting one. So then I switched to Amazon and asked BB to cancel my order. My BB order is still "In Process" though... I'm conflicted and don't know what to do now.

Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffff, overnight shippers are definitely the ones who are going to get theirs.

Fuck you HP!!!

I ordered on Friday night with the EPP code and I just got this e-mail with a preview that said:

Thank you for your purchase of the HP TouchPad. Due to the overwhelming demand for this product...

and I just about had a heart attack about it being canceled.

You're already cancelled.

the line you called was only for SMB so, TASTE THE HAPPY

I called HP regarding an issue not related to the touchpad, and while I was on hold it sounded like an agent picked up, but its almost like they pocket dialed me. This lady is currently talking to someone else about how her kids would not eat the chicken salad she made, and she wanted suggestions on how to get them to eat healthy.

Then it switched me over to some guy who was talking to his girlfriend about paying the mortgage.

Does anyone know the placement time of the latest received onSale order?

I'm not buying the "same-day only" meme, since everyone's order status is still "Shipping Soon," so there's no way to know for sure. I just hope they wouldn't be that douchy.

You must have been right on top of them. I think 1-day was like 25 or 30 for me. I debated paying like 18 for 2-day, but just decided I could wait an extra day or two to knock it down to 6.00.

Just to Inform you guys, officedepot.com dropped the hp touchstone to $40. If you print out the web page and pm to staples, they'll pm the price and right now staples has a $5off$25coupon so you can use that to drop it to $35 plus tax.

Reason you price match is bc officedepot.com is out of stock for the item. Did it after work fyi.
