Call HP CANADA on Monday to get the price adjusted. It has been stated several times ad nauseum on the RFD thread. You can even call customer service to confirm this story, but I'm sure they're already closed for the evening

Well I just ordered one from FutureShop for $70. I'd feel stupid paying that price, considering the price of the tablet, but I'll have up to 30 days to return it...I'll hope for a lower price so I can pricematch it by then.

It might make it 100% more usable for me though, considering I'd like to have it up beside my current PC, so maybe I'd keep it.

Ya, but I don't have that much room on my card at the moment. So even if I clicked "Buy Now", it wouldn't go through, regardless of any future price adjustment.

I remember I bought my Pre touchstone for $20 (normally $70) from Dell last year, and that was when WebOS still had some glimmer of a future. I'm hoping they get cut down that much now that the hardware is actually dead.

The main problem I can foresee: since there are now 10 times more Touchpads in the wild, the accessories might dry up fairly quickly. I ordered mine full price, and I have a 30 day window to return it.

HP Canada is sold out of 16 GB, 32 GB still available. Even though the actual shopping site hasn't updated the price, the TouchPad homepage at HP Canada shows the correct, updated prices.

But the increased memory means nothing to me, and I honestly don't think $149 plus shipping and handling is worth it. I don't need a tablet that badly. = P

Which of the speed hacks are safe to apply in your opinion? There are some conflicting recommendations online.

HP ran out of stock several hours ago and don't know when they're getting more (I'm sure they will though). Their site is just broke and they can't fix it until Monday to reflect their stock.
