Hulk Hogan's Son in Gruesome Car Accident

Wow. What a horrible ending to this. Any word on whats happening to Hogans kid? Isn't that show running through this or is that done now?

It's also kinda odd this got bumped. While I was at work, I nearly got hit by a drunk driver who came just inches from hitting me. He ended up ramming into a parked Jeep a few feet from where I stood. Crazy shit.

Wow. Awful. I won't judge because I too did stupid fucking shit on the road when I was that age (I was just fortunate enough to never have anything come of it beyond a single speeding citation) but I hope he's going to do some soul-searching after this instead of go back to the status quo ante accident.

You guys have no idea what was going on in that car. For all you know, the passenger could have been egging him on. It was an accident and accidents happen. It's unfortunate but he's not a "murderer".

With all the driving infractions this kid has apparently had, he should be banned from driving for life and have every single one of his licenses pulled.

He had already been in trouble for excessive speeding before. If it was a one time incident, I would agree. But when someone has a past like that, it's hard to not connect the dots.

He's not a murderer by law, but he has ended someone's life. Tragic news. I hope that the passenger can eventually get his function back.

Pretty much. And I hate to say it, but why would anyone drive with someone like that? Everyone knows people who are horrible drivers due to speeding or drinking. We don't know anything about this story, but the passenger could have been a fellow speed demon for all we know. You've got to be smarter than that, especially as a teen/young adult

Even though I think Nick Hogan is a dick, we have to factor in the fact that the passenger was not wearing a seat belt and chances are good that he was probably egging him on. Still, I think he should be banned from driving for life.

Go faster Nick! You're the coolest guy on the planet!

And for all you know, the passenger might've asked him to slow down, but he refused to do that.

Considering he didn't have a freaking seat belt on, I doubt he was too concerned about safety. Nick is definitely disgusting for risking lives like this, but every person is responsible for their own decisions. Nick for being reckless, and this guy for driving around with someone so fucking reckless.

Who the hell cares what the passenger may or may not have been saying? When you're the DRIVER of the car, you have RESPONSIBILITY to keep yourself and all passengers as safe as you can, because you are in control of the car, not them.

Oh, and whomever it was earlier in this thread that said that doing 80 in a 65 is reasonable is a moron.

Driving is a neccessity of Life. That is a pointless extreme, especially for someone who is not, by law a murderer/

That was the point Drychtnath was trying to make I think. No one really knows what is going on in that car, except NeoGaf. Clearly everyone here knows exactly what was going on. :lol

The passenger shouldn't be faultless.. I mean surely he had to have seen vids of Nick Hogan Crashing again and again at all those drift events right?? The kid fucking sucks.

Yes, because whenever my passengers ask me to go faster, that relieves me of all responsibility to myself, the people in my car and others on the road.

Use your head, Jesus.

...no. It is not a necessity. Public transport, bikes, firends, family, that's where he should get any and all transport form now on. Once you make someone a vegetable, it's time to stop driving.

Have any of the proponents of the "Bu-bu-but he was egging me on!" defense tried it in court?

Don't be asinine. No-one is saying Nick would be less culpable if it was the case, but that if the passenger did egg him on (which there is a very good chance did happen) then by being a willing participant would have some of the responsibility for what ultimately happened to him.
Playing with fire and getting burnt and all that.

Ok, thread's done. We can all go home now.

CHP tolerates going 75 on the freeway. 80's a little higher but not ridiculously.

Besides Hogan's spawn, the only other thing responsible for this dude being a vegetable for the rest of his life is those absurd road rules.

Look at this -

Nick was driving a black Mercedes when he was stopped along Alligator Alley for speeding. He claimed that he had a family emergency, and was let go with a warning. He was stopped 19 miles later going 115 mph in a 70 mph zone and issued a $305.50 citation.

Now I work in km/h so I don't know how that translates but from where I'm from if you're clocked at over 45 km/h over the limit your licence is ripped up on the spot and you'll have your arse hauled before a court.

This accident should never have happened because they guy shouldn't of even had his licence. Simple as that.

WTF. Why is this kid not in jail getting pounded in the ass? He's more dangerous than Osama at the moment looking at his record.

In my silver Viper, I was driving from Miami to Tampa. I got pulled over going 107 [mph] and the guy let me off. He's like, "Hey, I know who you are, just keep going, ya know." Dude, I got back on the road and two minutes later I get pulled over going 113 [mph]. Another highway patrol from the same county said, "I just heard on the radio that my buddy pulled you over and let you go. I'ma let you go this time. It's your second warning. You get pulled over again, you're probably going to go to jail." Three minutes later, [I was] doing 123 [mph] in a 50 [mph zone]. The guy is like, "Hey, I just heard you got pulled over twice in the last 10 minutes. I got to write you a ticket."

Frances Vitalis, a Plant City registered nurse, was riding home from Clearwater Beach on a motorcycle with a friend Sunday when she saw Bollea's yellow Toyota Supra and the silver Viper speeding between traffic lights. "We knew something was going to happen," Vitalis said Tuesday. "You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging." The roads were slick from scattered summer showers. One car would speed away, then the next would catch up, she said. The cat-and-mouse game ended when the Supra fish-tailed and crashed into a palm tree, Vitalis said. She ran to the car and tried to open the driver's door and then the passenger's door. The car was so mangled they wouldn't open, she said."

I don't see any compelling reason to think that happened, though. I do see compelling reasons to think that the driver was the problem. Your argument is sophistic, at best.

Sorry but the law doesn't agree with you. As the driver of the car, you are responsible for the well-being of everyone in that car in an at-fault accident.

Him not wearing a seatbelt makes Nick responsible for that too. As the driver, you are responsible if someone committing a safety-belt violation.

We don't know this for a fact. We do know that the driver drove at a speed where he was unable to stop. His Supra has massive brakes. It's not difficult to stop that car at 100mph, but it seems he was way over that.

The driver is at fault regardless of whether or not the passenger was egging him on.

Also, this piece of shit has a superiority complex, dropping his dad's name everytime he gets stopped. It's too bad this cunt didn't get injured as well, so he'd get a taste of his own medicine.

Eh? Not that I give a shit about Nick Hogan, but when you're fishtailing, absolutely nothing can stop you. Brakes have nothing to do with this accident. He managed to hydroplane a little and lost the rear end during a curve. That's just what happens in a 600HP Supra, no matter how fast he was going. He could've taken the curve going 45, and if he had tapped the gas wrong, there goes his tail.

We haven't heard so much as a peep from Nick since the crash. It's very serious considering that the police know he was racing another car on city streets in the rain and ignoring traffic lights and signs. On top of that, the police are waiting for results from his drug tests to determine if he was also impaired while driving.

Why is he still allowed to drive??

Because he is rich?

Did I somehow miss it or did this thread go five pages without the Macho Man Toyota Supra Slam pic I saw in another thread?

I guess I'm the only non-rich person here who speeds on the highway, right? Shit when I drive to Florida, I'm pushing 90 the whole way. Speeding laws are retarded. Accidents happen at every speed. The hate in this thread reads like jealousy. That's all.

Really? So you run lights and race other cars between them too? Awesome.

I don't think there's much jealousy of his situation. Maybe schadenfreude.

Not too mention that your survival rate sees a dramatic loss the faster you go, your going to be in much better shape after a head long crash if your going 35 than your going to be in if your going 85.

I'll ask again: Are you people really claiming to never break the speed limit?

I break the speed limit every single day. Most people do.

But...

1) I don't run red lights or traffic signs.
2) I don't race other cars between red lights.
3) I don't speed in the rain though I have an Audi S4 with Quattro.
3) I don't drive recklessly with another passenger in my car.
4) I don't have a history of crashing cars or speeding over 100mph.

And I would add that Nick didn't even have the sense to insist that passagers wear seat belts because he's prone to automotive fuckwittery.

This guy is in a whole other league. Dexter would have what's left of him on a slide if this world was just.

...and I think I damn well know why you left that one out, chief! :D
