Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle

Saw codes from this bundle popping up on eBay already. I shouldn't be surprised that some people are such disappointing cheapskates.

eBay? Codes from this bundle were being flipped for a profit in the BST thread here on GAF right after the bundle went live.

I paid $13 since I figured I might as well pay a bit more and finally try Darksiders 2. I was mainly interested in Shantae, Freedom Planet, and Rhythm Thief, but after reading some impressions I definitely want to try out Affordable Space Adventure.

I'll try out the other games at some point as well.

I paid the $13, as the only Wii U game I have already played is Darksiders2 and I sold my copy afterwards. I had been thinking of maybe buying Freedom Planet and/or Affordable Space Adventures, so it is a bargain for me (with 2 more games thrown in as well). With a bit of luck the extra games next Tuesday will Rayman, Donkey Kong, Deus Ex and AC4 - now that would save me a bit of cash!

On contrary to those people, here's PAL version codes for anyone that wants them. Couple of people PMed me about these, but they're from US, so they couldn't use them, and no one else has PMed me after that. So here goes:

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Wii U - B0LGF2H3168XXW77
Retro City Rampage: DX - Nintendo 3DS - B0LJ01TB0FV872N7
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Nintendo 3DS - B0LH39GM5CDXLKS6

Deus Ex would be nice tbh. I can't find the retail copy cheap anywhere.

I don't think Donkey Kong can be here, since its "Friends of Nintendo".

Guys, so I've just paid $13 for the bundle, and I've received a link to the page with all of the codes, but I can't tell which region these are for...can anyone help? I saw a screenshot here the other day that showed an option to choose which region your system is in.

I'm in the UK but have North American systems, so need to ensure these are US codes!

EDIT: Ugh, it says
Download codes can only be redeemed on Nintendo eShop in Europe and South Africa. They will not work on American or Japanese Wii U or Nintendo 3DS devices.

EDIT 2: This post is NOT an invitation for anyone to PM me for these codes (sale, freebies or even trades), if anyone else is thinking about it. I've contacted Humble Bundle support to see if they can give me the NA codes instead.

I had literally the same problem, and humble support were excellent and gave me US codes instead. You'll be cool.

Shantae is pretty awesome. Where does this one rank amongst the other Shantae titles?

Yeah I know. I'm really impressed with it. The game looks awesome off the WiiU GamePad. The resolution/sprite art is perfect for that low-res screen, everything looks fantastic - and the game plays awesomely too.

But yeah same question, how does this one rank against the others?

So it looks like there will be some decent growth. Great! I hope we see more from Nintendo in this direction.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Wii U
Since I have no Wii U, which is a shame, here it goes. And if you ask me, THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC!

B0LGFMD63FL57YJX - PAL

I am very happy to see this Humble Bundle, sadly only 1st tier was interesting to me. I would like to try Street Fighter IV, but I am no good when it comes to fighting games. As it comes to the rest, I bought them at full price, and oh boy, these games are worth its full price. Rhythm Thief looks extraordinary. Well, only Citizens of Earth is an average game, but it still is worth a try (8-bit music mode is pretty damn good).

They were happy for last year's results, I'm sure their satisfaction is much bigger this time around.

It would be quite epic to get a Humble "Welcome to NX" Bundle, now that I think about it, with some Wii U/3DS games involved as well.

Does anyone else have any serious guesses as to what the new games might be?

I'm not sure I know of many other Nintendo indies

As I've stated earlier the game for both systems will probably be Xeodrifter or Mutant Mudds Super Challenge. It's $10, already cross-buy and Renegade Kid were in last year's Nintendo bundle. Another choice could be Mighty Switch Force 2 by I'm not sure if Wayforward will have a set game.

As for the Wii U specific addition game I can see Scram Kitty and his Buddy On-rails being it.

I could also see versions of Shinen's Nano Assault and Art of Balance games being one of the single console games for either system.

Ah I've not heard of any of them, other than Nano Assault, though I got 3 games I really wanted already, so I won't be too bummed if that's the case

I'm playing through The Pirate's Curse and there are quite a few things I dislike about this game, but its still better than Risky's Revenge imo. RR was too short for its price (still a good game)

Edit: To make it more clear, I dont remember if RR had these problems (I believe it didnt for the most part) but:

- The game does a bad job at teaching you some mechanics/interactions: i.e. the very first boss asks you to hit him with his own weapon but there is not a single hint this is going to be a posible interaction between Shantae and a enemy attack at all in the stage, so it took me a while to realize it was posible to hit him with anything. Same thing happens with other things like in Tanline Island were you have to sneak around the guards, there is a section you need to hide in the shadows but the first hidding place is right in front of a guard, if you dont realize that is possible to hide there you are going to be send back to the begining a few times before you can get through that area. I feel this is a common problem with new enemy encounters too.

- Some sections are way too long, maybe they didnt want to have a short game like RR but the Rottytops run was so way way too long, the sneak around guards in Tanline island was almost as long and sends you to the begining if you dont find a key and open the right door to make a shortcut.

- Enemies are starting to feel like sponges and some areas have too many enemies that I just try to get past them killing none of them. Its getting to the point it doenst feel like I can kill some key enemies and move on, its better just to use Risky's Hat to navigate around enemies and ignore all of them. Maybe I need a different upgrade, but I got the kick attack and that shit does only 10 damage and its way slower than the hair attack which you can definitely get more than 2 hits (for 5 damage) in the same time.

Bought a Wii U from someone in the B/S/T forum, then I saw this! Now I have a nice little collection of games to play, and some extras for my 3DS. :-D

Does anyone have an EU code for Freedom Planet (thanks Midnight Believer!) or Affordable Space Adventures they don't want? I've got US codes to trade if it helps, otherwise I'll just give 'em away in here in a couple days.

Having an NA 3DS and an EU Wii U was a terrible idea, really!

Hello.

I have two NA codes each for the following games:

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Wii U

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Nintendo 3DS

Retro City Rampage: DX - Nintendo 3DS

PM if interested!
