I knew it would be bad but I looked into how much the DLC is for Dragon Age: Origins. 3120 Bioware points for everything, minus Awakening. That's roughly $40.

As for Mass Effect 2, it's 2800 Bioware points for all the story DLC. Also basically $40 since you can only buy points in $20 or $10 increments.

It's the worst part of the BioWare bucks system. The fact that they insist in keeping it after all this time makes those versions of the games kind of terrible.

Bonus is that ME3 has an online check in to verify your DLC every time you start the game, so you better hope those servers stay online forever if you spent the money on the BioWare bucks in the first place.

anyone who can tell me how to get Ultima 7 running in windowed mode?
was thinking of streaming it for old time's sake but I'm gonna need to adjust the resolution and set it to windowed. It's running through dosbox so I imagine I'll do something there.

update: Looks like alt-tabbing set it to windowed somehow

however i still need to look into the resolution. Origin is running dosbox as it doesn't seem to be installed on my PC

At least with Origins, I'd have to say that you're probably better off buying the Ultimate version that comes with all the DLC plus Awakening when it hits a Steam sale for around $7 if you want to get the full experience. Not that the base game is lacking content but some of the DLC like Stone Prisoner or Witch Hunt add a good amount to the game and Awakening is pretty great too.

And its probably worth it to just avoid messing with those stupid BioWare points.

I think the base Steam key for Dragon Age Origins comes with the Stone Prisoner DLC.

Ultima 7 is one of the best RPGs ever made. TES developers refer to Ultima 6-7 as the type of world building/interactivity they strive to accomplish but can't due to modern day technical constraints.

If you already own Ultima 7, well, that sucks. If not, this is a huge score!

Take a look at Exult.

It'll allow you to change the resolution along with adding filters and improving the UI.

Disclaimer: I previously owned a few of these games but Have not played most of them.
I am SHOCKED at the negativity in this thread. shocked. Especially since Gaf has seemingly embraced 'EA Access" with open arms. Or at least a sizable chunk of us. Really? adding up the cost of dlc and getting nit picky about it? How about adding up the cost of the DLC for EA Access' microtransaction laden offerings and complaining about that? Ok enough bashing EA Access.

I'm still just stunned at the negativity. I know have a reason to use Origin. this is enough gaming to last you 10 years. For 5 dollars. Love it.

That's not nitpicking, Bioware points are a complete outlier in terms of pricing and handling of how DLC actually handled through origin proper is dealt with.

I know PvZ is worth $5, but the irrational part of my mind is telling me I shouldn't pay for this bundle when I've already played 90% of the games in it. Why are you so irrational, brain?

Its kind of like a "bad" PS+ month to me. I own most of the games I really want so its a lame bundle for me, but the selection actually is quite good.

Seems as if the games should've been rearranged though.
