Hypothetical Movies: Batman Beyond

They have to use the intro music for sure. I love that intro. It's too wicked.

If they did it, I'd just want them to use JGL as Terry... just do a soft reboot, bring back JGL as Terry McGinnis, set it it forty years in the future, put in flying cars, neo-Gotham, all that shit.

When I see the suit in live action in my head, I feel it'd be closer to the Advanced Suit from DS2...

At least in terms of the body of the suit, not the helmet... though a peaked faceplate over the mouth would look cool, I think. It has a decidedly Yoji Shinkawa future influence to it. Has the jet boosters on the feet. It feels tactile. Just ease up on the metal skeletal features a bit, and rework the helmet, I could see this as a futuristic Bat-suit.

That's not hard at all. We have had a bunch of old men sell that role for the decades. They're a dime a dozen.

Having old actors is one thing. Having ones that can convincingly pull off Bruce is another.

I could see this happening in the distant future. Although, as another poster said above, you'd have to make sure not to make it seem like someone in a Batman-shaped Iron Man suit.

He does have Iron Men-esque suits out there, definitely. That's only one of 4 he has too. Most times, I find them lame and trying to ape what Iron man does, but in the case of the one that is pictured, that one is justified because he's fighting a bunch of immortal illumanati zombie ninja's, so he kind of needs it.

The actual Beyond Batsuit prototype has appeared in the comic lately FYI

After watching TAS, I just started watching Batman Beyond on Netflix. I saw little bits of it, when i was younger, but never more than a few minutes here and there. It's actually not half bad.

Also. Kevin Conroy will always be batman to me, i think.

Personally, no matter how I worked it, I could never get Batman Beyond to fit into Nolan's universe, even less so now that Bruce quit being batman long before he was 'forced' to do it by circumstances.

Still, I don't want to just blatantly reboot the universe whole sale.

So as far as the Batman Franchise goes, what I would do is adapt Neil Gaiman's "Whatever happened to the Caped Crusader" story to the big screen.

Once that's in place, you can do anything you want with the Bat Universe basically.

After watching TAS, I just started watching Batman Begins on Netflix. I saw little bits of it, when i was younger, but never more than a few minutes here and there. It's actually not half bad.

Also. Kevin Conroy will always be batman to me, i think.

Have you seen Return of the Joker or the Justice League episode "Epilogue", make sure to watch those after you finish.
