If the price goes down after you preorder, you will get it for the lower price. I went ahead and canceled my reg order for this one.

Unfortunately Canada's BN counterpart doesn't even list the LE, let alone have it at a hefty discount :(

wait the le have fewer pages? Hmm mot going to change my order if there is not much of a difference. Wonder if Amazon will allow me to upgrade if I want to.My order still say ship by Feb.

welp, that settles that
no idea why there's 8 fewer pages though

sounds good but it's still $12 more than B&N, wish i could get a pricematch before ordering

I'm guessing those 8 pages are just accounting for the manga

edit: beaten like a dog

I think it probably will have it though, and it's just not being included in the page count for whatever reason.

I wonder if the LE's pages are bigger, showing more per page, and thus have less pages than the Regular.

Unlikely. They might be counting endpapers in the regular edition, or there could be a revised and reduced table of contents, less publisher/author information, or a reduced index in the limited edition.

Edit: oh, lack of the manga sounds more plausible

The Zelda collector in me says to get both editions. <_<
I also already have the Japanese Hyrule Historia.

Hmm, one version has the manga, yet the other has a beautiful look...

I guess I would go for the original edition, because of the manga. Unless I hear more information between the two.

but mangas

NON-CANON mangas in a book all about canon! AaaaaaAAAA!!!!!

Boy I wish it were canon though, it's a pretty neat story.

This LE here though, I guess I'll preorder it too, and cancel one a month from now or something, once we know more.

Already have 2 pre-ordered since 4 months on Amazon, one for me and one for a friend.

Oh, they changed the cover?! Not sure if I prefer this one.

tweeted dark horse asking about the manga in the LE, emailed amazon about price matching. we'll see if anything comes of it.

I'm holding onto both normal and limited edition preorders, personally. After what happened with the Final Fantasy artbook set (Released to just about no fanfare, no pun intended, and practically nonexistent after a little more than a month with aftermarket rates going QUADRUPLE the original retail price), I'm making damn sure I get this book in both forms.

Ugh a Limited Edition. That is so cool but also makes me worry now :(

Edit: Got 2 ordered at Amazon and 2 at Barnes and Noble. Hopefully one or both fulfil my orders!

I'm guessing this is the LE?

Yeah, $20 for a fancier cover and gold pages.

I'm sure it'd look mighty nice, but I'm still not ready to give up my current pre-order on the original. Both hardcover anyway, so I'm just as happy with it.

For those wondering, most of the book is on SS, TP and Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Basically, the more recent the title, the more pages it will have. Surprising there isn't much on OoT. Of course, it's criminal (and expected) that there is hardly any MM content. Still a great book.

I already own the Japanese version. Don't really see the need to double dip.

Sent an email to Dark Horse about the content differences. I'd be willing to pay extra if the quality is superior. Don't skimp on an official Nintendo art book, especially a Zelda one! :)
