Haven't had time to play Dynasty Warriors or Warriors Orochi yet, but in Pirate Warriors there are four difficulty settings; easy, normal, hard and super hard. Super hard does offer a good challenge. The hardest levels are pretty much impossible if you don't use some of the strongest playable characters. The hard part often isn't even managing your own health though. In most levels you have to make sure that your base isn't captured and that certain allies don't retreat, so you have to run all over the map ensuring that everyone has support and that there are no strong enemies near your base. It gets really hectic.

So far, we know that there will be 3 difficulty modes (Easy, Normal, Hard). It's currently unknown is a harder difficulty set can be unlocked.
