Perhaps there was a deleted scene in which they had someone spying on Peter, waiting for the time they thought "yep, he's ready to get back to being Spider-Man now" - then they called Rhino up and said "its TIME!!!"

Dane Dehaan's acting is so fucking horrible and completely doesn't work in the role of Harry Osborne. Pretty much the entire Harry plotline was completely horrible and ruined to an even greater degree by his terrible acting.

At least Spider-Man 3 has a really good opening fight between Peter and Harry.
ASM2 has a really good fight between the screenwriters and the audience's tolerance for terrible movies
I didn't hate it. I liked it more than the first mainly because I didn't really care for another origin story.
I like the casting. Garfield is better than dorky Tobey IMO. Gwen was really good. The guy who did Harry Osborn was creepy, but the Goblin design was ridiculous. Put a mask on that ugly mug. Rhino was pretty dumb, but so is he in the comics. Electro was good for the blow shit up moments.
There's plenty of flaws with these movies and they don't come even close to the Marvel flicks, but I think there's potential with the new Amazing movies. I really like Garfield and I like how they've moving ahead with the reboot. The Amazing movies are better than the McGuire movies IMO.

This is what annoys me about the 2 ASM movies, you can watch them both and see so much potential with Spider-man himself and a lot of the action scenes, its just let down in pretty much every other area. Its just ripe for a fantastic live action ASM, they just need to keep the action/design as it is now and put a lot of work into the actual stores to make it all work.
I thought the first one was absolute trash; but I thought the second one was the perfect live action adaptation of Spider-Man. I had no idea people thought this poorly of the movie until I looked up the threads here.
That's not to say it's not a perfect movie; the Green Goblin's makeup was terrible and the movie didn't need air traffic controller drama, but I wouldn't even think of viewing it in a negative light.

I disagree. You can see he got the role because of his Chronicle performance, and I think he plays a fine villain.
James Franco was a terrible Harry Osborn. This new guy is a significant upgrade IMO.

Awesome movie. The story and theme was pretty obvious and made sense to me but whatever.
Who the hell did the first 2 spidermans. Give it back to THEM. Marvel hasnt ever had to do a Spiderman movie so I dont really know why we would want to give it to them and pray instead of just the guys who did it right the first two times.

Marvel is a great director.
The guy who did the first 2 did the third and for that I wouldn't want Raimi back. I think Garfield was a perfect casting choice but the way they write him is awful.

Agreed. ASM1 was terrible, but ASM2 took it to a new level. I grew up loving Spiderman, but think I will skip the next movie even though the Raimi ones were good (1 doesn't hold up as well as I had thought it would, and 3 was not as bad as I remembered it).
It's amazing that CA2 and DoFP were both so good and then ASM2 was just a sick mangy dog's fart in the wind.
