Uh I've had tons of people cook for me and I've never been wowed or craved it after like the rest of the people I'm eating with so drop that theory yall. I just want some Wendy's every night and McD every day
Your kidneys, heart and toilet must hate you. I love home made food. I hate paying more for stuff I can make better myself.

OP did you not have any parents or grandparents or any other relatives that knew/know how to cook? Restaurants are great but the idea that food cooked by non-proffesionals is almost always bad is rather surprising.

thats a little weird, maybe your taste buds are warped or something. try a month of homemade food and see how you feel afterwards.

I'm pretty sure that it comes down to seasoning and stuff. I mean, I cook most of my meals, but I won't say they are amazing. That's because I'm lazy and won't buy all the little ingredients to make it have that bursting flavor.

My chicken and rice is: Chicken with some Costco seasoning and...rice. That's it.
actually I recently started baking the chicken with some olive oil over it and that improved it quite a bit

But yeah, I get what you're saying in a sense, and again, I'm pretty sure it comes down to seasoning and things of that nature.

My Dad's home cooking...now that is some good shit. But he spends a lot of time and uses a lot of ingredients.

Eating out has its place, but I love home cooked meals. Tonight I am going over to a friend's house to eat some homemade Thai food. Cannot wait.

I was the same way until I met a girl who could cook, and really cook well. After that I learned cooking basics. Now I prefer homemade for dishes that I have experience making. Some things though I still go out for. Things I can't cook, like most Korean dishes, or just this bomb-ass shepard's pie a place makes down the street.

Not only is home cook food is more healthier it's also cheaper than getting fast food.

Seriously OP learn to cook or you're gonna get fat and develop health problems.

Homemade. Sure there was a good stint where I ate out a lot but once I saw how much I was actually spending eating out, I stopped that immediately.

At home I just take generous amounts of salt and msg and roll them into balls of lard and I swear its just like take out. Its quite popular in the neighborhood in fact.

I've installed a drive-thru.

I guess I'm lucky my parents taught me how to cook as I was growing up, I love to make simple stuff though
cause I'm lazy
.

Cuban food is really good, though.

My man.

Cuban food is godlike.

It may not look like much, but I practically worship Bistec Empanizado with black beans and white rice. Or Arroz Con pollo, papa rellenas, carne guisado, and basically everything.

The best thing about cuban food is that it's all really really easy and simple to make. I make a fresh batch of sofritto every week.

I'm Cuban. I've had several central Americans tell me they love it too :D

Some guy here on GAF said it was the plainest ethnic food. I think I was able to kill him with my mind.

Homemade if I cook it. I like to know what goes inside my food and it's usually cheaper. However, it's a hit or a miss for food made by someone else.

OP is just a bad cook.

Well...im puerto rican and grew up with cuban/rican/caribbean food so I'm pretty biased to begin with. My grandma taught me how to cook, so from her I learned everything about cuban/puerto rican food and why it's the best in the world.

The beautiful thing is that you don't actually need lots of ingredients to make good food. I mostly make food with only salt, pepper, and sugar. The rest comes from fresh ingredients unless I'm making curry or something. Then I use curry powder.

you can throw random ingredients in a slow cooker and come up with food better than a lot of restaurants.

This right here. I've yet to have slow cooker chicken divan at any restaurant that is better than mine.

I should become a restaurant cook I'm so good at it. You just have to plan ahead.

I've made amazing meals just using salt, pepper, and sugar.

I don't like my homemade food most of the time. Something about the cooking process puts me off. I usually like my own leftovers better than the initial meal though.

You never cease to not make me laugh.

DOWN, don't you go to the gym? I'm sad to think you're wasting your time there when you're not getting the proper nutrition during the day. I knew you liked McDonald's, but I didn't know it was this bad.

You still freeze your bags of spaghetti sauce?
