I fucked around and scored my dream job when I was like 21, when I was young and too dumb to capitalize on it. Didn't value it, didn't think to extend it into a career and just treated it like a multi-year vacation and I lost my chance and am now stuck in the rat race instead. Sucks.

What I'm saying is, don't make my mistakes OP! Keep working hard and extend that dream job to last the rest of your life!

I am getting the chance to live in South Africa for two years, starting January. Unbelievable opportunity to get some Public Health and international experience. I just need to survive my current job until then.

Congrats! I remember earlier in the year, when you made a thread about the workload of college getting you down and you just being extremely exhausted about everything. It's wonderful to hear that not only did you manage to persevere, but that doing so payed off so well for you and it was more than worth all the effort. That's incredible and I hope the rest of school goes well for you and wish you the best at this job whenever you start! ^_^

Thank you for sharing that because it was sobering to see where I was just months ago and where I am now. Undoubtedly, there will still be moments left in my classes where I will feel discouraged, but now I have moments like today to lean on and remember in those times.
