As others have said, the banned formula was insane, I could never manage to finish a 2nd can.

Used to drink these with one of my friends (back when they would legit fuck you up) until one night my friend got into it with another friend and just had a complete mental breakdown in the street. He stopped drinking entirely shortly after that.
They were still 12% abv after they removed the caffeine. Are they still 12 or did they lower it? I haven't had one in a while (and really don't plan to lol).

I missed the pre-ban Four Loko craze by just a couple months, but we still drank them consistently for the first couple years of college. Because of the ban, I would mix one Four Loko with one 8-oz. Red Bull in a Nalgene water bottle, and I would have two of those a night and be fucking set and get bad heartburn, so I would just eat a bunch of Tums after finishing the second. It was crazy.
If there is Jagger you should prepare Jaggerbombs (or Perla Negra aka Black Pearl as they are called in Spanish) it tastes better and will get you drunk anyway
I had the original Four Loko once and I miss it.

Yep, pretty much the same from what I remember. Aka nasty.
They are still 12%. Golds are 14% though. Best bang/flavor for your buck.

Ah, I switched over to Colt 45 Blast a while ago when I needed to go on a bender. Four Loko's taste was so awful that when I broke into the second can I unloaded the entirety of the first into the toilet. I was sad that night, although I made it up by drinking almost a gallon of Voodoo Gran Met.
A Four Loko and a Joose (pre ban) began the night at a bachelor party I attended. We were going from casino to casino. I blacked out, got kicked out of a casino because they thought I was counting cards, and woke up with $500 more then I came with. Mine wasn't even the most interesting story that night.

I personally never had one when it was still caffeinated. The gold flavor tastes alright and I can tolerate the peach flavor, but for the most part it's not great. I guess if you need some cheap malt liquor it works out.
With that said, I knew a friend around the time just before they stopped the caffeinated ones drank like three or four of them in an hour and a half while at a bachelor party. He literally managed to blow almost all of his paycheck on a stripper, puked all over the floor hours later, and for some reason decided to get nude to take a dump and then puked over the floor again. I was only there for the first one (and boy did he try to make the dollars rain), but I only heard about the other stuff second-hand (which the dude later corroborated as well).
I don't know if I was missing anything by not drinking it pre-ban.

First time in college we had it someone kicked a bedroom door down just because while we were drinking four lokos. What's up with that stuff making people want to destroy stuff haha? Caffeine plus liquor is the greatest and worst combination all rolled into 1.

I bought it and sorry. I didnt feel much after 1 can.
And it tasted like shit. I saw it was banned in europe, but really didnt know why. I drink 2 beers and feel more drunk. Drank that 1 can in about 1:30h and didnt feel drunk at all.

Am I the only person here who doesn't know what a "Four loko" is? Maybe it's an American thing or maybe it's because I've never drunk but this is the first time I've ever heard of a four loko.

I don't understand wanting to pregame with Four Lokos. A couple shots of liquor does the job better and without all that sugar and additives.

Everclear + Gatorade is amazing when you're on a budget. The mistake people make with EC is they just treat it like any other hard alcohol and end up drinking 2.5x as much alcohol as they normally would.
Chug it down with an energy drink and it'll be the same thing. Albeit with more hydration so probably still better for you.
Or take a caffeine pill with it!
