I hate getting kicked back to my last save when I die

Yeah, ever since busy adult life kicked into high gear, I lost patience for this kind of thing. Can't do it anymore. If it's a tough boss encounter, I'd better get the chance to restart right from the beginning of that encounter, for example. Having to go back to the last save point? That shit feels archaic now.
 
Defeat should in theory at least make you eager and more determined to come back and win, provided the game's any good.. and you're not put before an unskippable cutscene :P
 
If I die at a boss and have to do a long walk back for 15 minutes, I don't "fear dying", I just feel annoyed and don't want to play anymore. Having to repeat large chunks of unchallenging content just to try again on the part that is giving you trouble is boring, especially when games are so impressed these days with their cinematic nature and will throw a cutscene or two into that repetition.
