I eat one of those every day for breakfast with a side of pancakes, hashbrowns and a large chocolate shake.

I don't know what you know of burritos, but I'm kind of an expert. I've actually been to Mexico City and they don't eat at Taco Bell. And they don't call them burritos, they are burrito de carne asada. It brings great shame to eat at some Taco Bob's and think you are eating the real thing.

But, I guess I'd rather put the time into enjoy what the real Mexicans eat (not those fake ones that live in the States) than eat some cruddy "guera maricón" place. That's what the real Mexican people will call you, it means "American".

Pretty sure it means white faggot.

Beans I can understand, but the rice just adds so much alongside the meat and condiments and overall taste and texture of the burrito. To each his own though.

<3 Burritos. I think they've surpassed burgers as my favorite fast food item. Plus carne asada fries with friends on a really drunk night.

I agree with this. I can't imagine a carne asada burrito without rice. It just seems weird to me. I don't care if it is not "authentic".

i can't stand burritos with rice. only thing i will allow in my burrito other than meat is beans, onions and cilantro.

Americanized Mexican food has its place like Americanized Chinese food. Both are great but IMO the originals are better for both. Had some Panda Express yesterday and it was amazing as usual.

They both have there place in America though.

General Tso burrito?(do not steal) Might be time to go into business.

Kung Pao Chicken, fried rice or noodles plus green beans(for added crunch alonside the peanuts in the Kung pao) wrapped in a nice warm tortilla...? You're on to something akira.

Your Mexican ain't got nothing on our Turkish/Greek.

Edit: SolidusDave know's what's up.

What about burek? Who does that belong to. Its a food from the Gods and I'm going to have to see how my Albanian mom makes it so I can learn once and for all.

Never had it myself but here in Malta we have these things called pastizzi which are remarkably similar and absolutely delicious on your way home drunk. It's basically filo/puff pastry filled with ricotta or peas.

You could easily get 15-20 of them for OP's $4, and that's enough to feed 5-6 people.

I've been there, it's ok. But Taqueria Sanchez a block south west on Centinela and Culver was my favorite Mexican in that area. Yes I know there is a also a mini counter window Taqueria Sanchez next to el abajeño , but I like the restaurant one that is only a minute away. Great Tacos there.

Besides, you could just make one yourself at home for cheaper and it would probably taste better and be better for you and you could make it faster.

But whatever, some people don't care for quality.
I was waiting for the "you could make a ______ at home that is better, cheaper and faster. Welcome our snob overlords.

Mexican >> Turkish/Greek by sauces alone.

Let's not turn this into a burrito vs doner fight

Both are amazing and great while drunk

The issue is it's very hard to find good doner in america, as it's probably very hard to find a good burrito in germany

Now I need to know the ranking of Alberto's - Beto's - Rancherito's from UtahGAF

But I didn't started it. And Tacos >>> Doners & Burritos. :D

And this is the traditional hangover central Mexico dish:

Pancita!

Nothing better than a asada burrito with nothin but pico de gallon and fresh avocado slices

And whatever that greasy mess was a few posts back, kill it with fire

I know the one thing I want to do when I'm drunk is construct food.

Where can I buy this food of the gods?!!

Every time I see a food thread on GAF I thank my lucky stars that I was not cursed with the GI tract of an anemic infant.

Cheap, authentic street food is the best. Look at that goddamn tortilla. You don't get that with Taco Bell.

No you're just gifted with the bowels of a sewage disposal unit.

I can do insults too

i miss san diego's burritos

and i'll echo the opinion from the first page, burritos shouldn't have rice or beans. get that filler shit out of here.

unless you are eating a bean and cheese burrito, then i salute you for choosing a delicious meal.
